Which BTW, we have our annual draft tomorrow night. The higher the seed with a win gets more points. I understand Louisville & Mich State are both 4's and good picks? I'll hang up an listen.

Would be my top two picks.

Just got back from taking daughter to eye doctor. After a couple years of patching and she's still exhibiting exotropia, doctor is recommending surgery. I think we are going to get a second opinion from doctor at main campus of Children's. The only reason we stopped seeing her is because she went on medical leave about a year ago but is back now I guess.

My oldest had eye surgery when she was 3.5 to correct her lazy eye, we tried the patching route first but it didn't help any. One day of downtime for her and since then her vision tests have been perfect. Second daughter has a slighly lazy eye that the doc is trying to fix with glasses (guess it is a different type then the older one had). Not sure if it is working since we have gone through 3 pairs of glasses in a few months since she keeps breaking them.

Thanks. We're obviously concerned about the risks of the procedure but it seems to be pretty commonly done.

All is well with BabyYSR 2.0. He's a little on the small side, but within normal ranges. I apparently just grow 'em small (Charlotte was 6.0 pounds at birth).

The doctor did tell me to try to get more protein in my diet since I'm losing weight instead of gaining, so I am about to make love to an Alton Brown method cooked ribeye and some asparagus.

And then I'm going to watch Mud (my latest Netflix) unless someone tells me not to do so.

i would love to talk to you about this. my daughter suffers from the opposite, strabismus, or esotropia. we have patched for years. not as consistently as we should have, but it is getting better. how old is your daughter? mine is 7

When did the patching start? Have you gone stretches without patching and seen regression?

we stared the patching around 4 years old, maybe slightly earlier. we used to notice a regression when we would slack off with the patching, but now, not so much. my dr is very confident in the patching, but he recommends longer periods than yours and frankly says, that we can't do it for too long., we try to get in a minimum of 15 hours a week. we fall short of this quite often but my daughter has gotten used to it and if she's doing something that keeps her busy she can wear it for hours.

how old is your daughter. pm her age if you're afraid homer will notice.

She is 4 yrs 4 months. We started patching at 1 yr 6 months.

Louisville have the 2nd shortest future price, behind UF.

The tricky part for them is that their region is pretty tough. A Sweet 16 matchup with Wichita St. would be pretty daunting. I have them through to the F4, but not to the title game, as a hedge against their tough region.

I think people are on Mich. St. because of their name value/history, but UVA are the real deal IMO. I have them getting through and then going out to Florida.

KenPom and 538.com (ESPN has a link) are pretty good resources for probabilities and such.

KenPom is factored in to 538, so keep that in mind if you're looking both places

My second boy had the surgery at about 18 months. It really helped a lot, patching was not doing it for us. He seems fine now.

- Sand in the City. What exactly are 23 year olds doing with $200,000 art degrees? They are converting 400 tons of sand in downtown Portland into replicas of cars they can't afford and ironical sculptures of hated politicians they know nothing about. This event is Free!

- The Dog Show. Stumptown Clusters presents a dog show devoted to specialty breeds and dogs with missing limbs. Hosted by Fred Willard this year's show is sure to be a howl.

- Jazz Festival. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

There is also a Pirate and Gypsy festival but that seems mundane.
