GM's thread about nothing (7 Viewers)

I usually pay $15 for a haircut at Supercuts which I can walk to. There are a couple of chicks there that do a good job. There's also a barber in Oildale that I go to sometimes if I can squeeze it in on the way home. He charges $10. Also within walking distance is a Great Clips which makes Supercuts look like some Beverly Hills salon. I've gone there a couple of times and the cut wasn't bad. But the place is cramped and usually full of bratty kids.

Cal wants to have his GF over on Saturday for a "play date".

Thoughts?
Good for him?
:lmao: I'm serious!!
Personally I wouldn't have an issue with it. I doubt their thoughts are in the realm of hours of mind blowing sex, more like I like hanging out with this girl. Have her come over and see what happens, see how he acts what they do etc. He may realize a play date with a girl won't be a lot of fun at least at his age.....

The gas station was walking distance, which I think was the draw.

JFC, I hope not. I could certain see some possible kissing. Plus she's kind of worldly for the 4th grade.

I don't know, my two boys (3rd and 4th grade) and their friends don't even talk about kissing or doing anything with girls. They all have crushes but haven't heard anything remotely close to kissing.

You and GM are married?

I forgot to mention my least favorite thing about Seattle, which is this #$(!#(( #&$&$^^^ *(#&$J #&&@*** time zone. I hate it so hard. Can't wait 'til tomorrow when the NCAA tournament games start at break of dawn.
Oh, sorry about the time zone, krista. We'll have that removed at once.

Just got done in my first bracket draft. It's only a quarter one, but I picked 8th and I think I assembled the biggest load of crap ever. How many hundreds of dollars am I looking at losing?

There's an old-assed barber shop on the back side of this decrepit movie theater in Pasadena that I go to. You feel like you travel back in time.

The guy who owns the place is a #### who will charge you $35 for a cut if they use scissors on the sides and back instead of the clippers instead of the normal $17, but he's not there on Sundays and the guy who's there just charges me the normal amount for the scissor cut. I tip him well.

I'll also go to Supercuts but not the one on Washington Blvd. - that's all Armenian chicks who don't give a ####, so I'll inevitably get a bad haircut. If I go a little farther away to the one in East Pasadena there are white chicks and Latinas who give a damn and I actually look good if I steer them in the right direction. The best one is even farther away in Arcadia where all the Korean and Chinese ladies work. They'd sooner sacrifice their first born than leave you with a bad haircut, Supercuts rates or not.

Krista mad libs...

I'm thinking of moving to (city name) because we really hate (swarming insect) here in (2nd world county). Our must haves include (adjective) (outdoor primitive cooking device) , (number > 1,000) restaurants walkable within (number less than .3) miles, the ability to house many (annoying 4 legged creature) and it damn well better appreciate because we will need to move again in (number less than 4) months.

Oh, and #### Pacific Time.

Do you like your future baby-mama-in-law?
I might her at that STEM thing and she seems nice. This is the broad I mentioned awhile ago that is fluent in three languages.

I'm hoping her dad puts the kabosh on it.
If you want that to happen, have Cal buy her an at-home stripper "fitness" pole for her next birthday party.

Cumulative seeds equal 77. That's a little high for one of these, but not the highest I've seen. Most everyone in quarters will be +/- $100 no matter what you draft.

Drafting 8th is horrible. I'll admit that I panicked a little, not sure why I took Nebraska at 2.1.

Might be set to head down to memphis to take a client to the games next Thursday. Big Gators fan, cool dude, basically came out and said we needed to set a meeting that day in that city specifically for this purpose and planted the seed on me getting tickets. Never been to an NCAA tourney game, kind of stoked. Mostly stoked because The Terrorist can't ruin me for two whole nights. :hifive:

Atmosphere is awesome, but no beer. 4 games in a day, with no beer, is a long day.

Going to be honest here, that's terrible. Why did you take Umass and K-State in rounds 2 and 3?

I obviously don't know this works if you took the 40th best team with the 9th pick n
You amass points by multiplying the seed of the winning team by the round factor (1,2,3,4,5,6).

So if Syracuse (3 seed) wins their second game, everyone pays me 6 quarters.

It's not a great spot. I had 8th in the $1.00 draft, and went extremely conservative to mitigate losses. I pulled two #1's & two #3's.

This. I've probably been to 4-5 sessions in my life at the Metrodome and it's really awesome if you're really into basketball (which I am). As I got old enough to drink it started to lose it's shine a bit with the no beer, and if you try to get loaded before you go you end up sitting there for literally hours with your buzz wearing off which is no picnic. But the games themselves are really great and also after typing this I think I might have a drinking problem.

Ok much better that way then. You basically have the potential to win or lose a lot of money (likely under $100 either way). Hopefully win.

In college we used to get out hair cut at a place called the City Barber. Three old vets who told bull#### stories non stop. Didn't matter what you asked for, you got the same haircut as everyone else. High and tight. $6. One time my buddy asked for something else and got pissed off when the barber was done. He called the next guy in to the chair and got started and said, "it's called high and tight. You complain now, but if it were one of them sorority girls you'd be hard as a plank"

High and tight.

:lmao:
I had my hair cut at a place like this once. Guy never even said a word. I sat down, he gave me the cut he wanted, and then he charged me $9. I looked like a banker.

Great game from our Hawks tonight.

I spent the day playing in an insurance agent golf tournament. Wore my Aviators (K4>). Also gave a rousing 90 second speech during the dinner which consisted largely of "Let's thank the planning committee. We love the business you bring us. Please send more. Now, let's all hit the bar!"

Steve-O-Austin going to make us all rich

God that sounds so alcoholic.
it's truth though.

NCAA sucks for that reason (except for GM's magical beer garden in Oregon).
When the Rose Garden hosts the NCAA games they open up FORT AWESOME next door, which has lots of free flowing beers and TVs of the games. Not sure what the rules are for going in and out to get bombed are, though.

UT Women Hoops serves beer now. West Virginia Football too.

It's not a rule during the season, just during the tourney.
I know

I went to the regional finals when they were hosted at Allstate Arena. Depaul was considered the host school or whatever. People I went with were all alumni so we got to go into their party section during the intermissions and they served beer in there. Was awesome.

But I've been to a lot of college hockey games and Frozen Fours and they never serve a drop of alcohol far as I can tell. It's not nearly as much fun to watch sports stone cold sober.

I can't imagine waiting until 1 pm for football. Awful.

If I lived out west I could watch the games before bed.
