I know, but I wouldn't put it past them to threaten that or make me jump through hoops to get them like having to threaten litigation etc.

 
GF and I got in a fight last night, which escalated this morning, only to be interrupted by my appointment with my tax accountant, who gave me the news on how much I owe (it's a lot more than I have). Not unexpected, and I have a plan to deal with it in the fall. Except the owner of the firm calls me during this appointment and tells me that we are likely "making changes" in July--meaning my contract will probably not be renewed. He also #####ed at me that nobody knew where I was today, even though my assistant and the attorney I work with both knew I was home today. Apparently my assistant told him she didn't know where I was, and that I never tell anyone when I'm out...even though I've worked the same schedule for a year.

And I have a wicked hangover.

But my brackets are in pretty good shape.

I came home from a kinda long day at work to my 2 year old sitting on the couch. His eyes lit up and a smile passed across his face as he loudly proclaimed:

"Daddy! You're home! Apple!"
