Again, I can't access the last couple of pages of this thread thanks to our filter. Weird.
If you give me your mailing address, I'll print them out and send them to you. Then you can type up your responses and mail them back to me, and I'll post them for you under your own username.

This is what I often do for Hipple, Long, Ware, & Peete.
Awesome.

I am biking to work tomorrow. I will be wearing long sweat pants (the kind that go 'whoosh whoosh' when you walk) and perhaps a sweat shirt as it is chilly. I don't own spandex. I can only imagine how awful that would make me look. I do wear a helmet, though lets be honest....there's really not much in there to protect. 60% of my commute home will be on paved trails to avoid all cars. The rest of the way will have bike lanes or I'll be on neighborhood roads with plenty of room and a speed limit of 25. I will also be high as a billy goat.

I love riding the bike, but I also used to loath the bike riding community and get where the bike hate comes from. I live in Portland....believe me, we have plenty of 'me firsters' riding bikes around here (Uni's Portlandia clip was all too true here). However, the city has poured a ton of dough into infrastructure to support the bike riders and outside of the militant bike messengers who smell like camel crap, most of the bike riders here adhere to the bike lanes, trails or use common sense.

Can't we all just get along?
I ride in every day it's over 45 degrees using the CitiBike bike share. It's about 6-8 minutes to the office and 20-25 minutes downtown to my kids school. Admittedly it's been 15 years since I drove in from the 'burbs, and Oakland County to the Detroit riverfront isn't exactly packed with Cannondales. But honestly I had no clue that kind of vitriolic hate for bikers existed let alone was widespread.

It's like a culture shock. Really, it's that big of a deal?

Both sides have excellent points. Bicycles can be both a benefit and a hazard.

YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

An hour ago I never would have imagined I would be having dinner with Romo tonight but....
Too bad I'll never get the chance to meet Romo now. I call dibbs on YSR after Romo dies next week.

:lmao: :lmao:

We get in our cars to leave and I notice he's on his phone checking GPS. So I told him he could follow me since we were going in the same direction and he would be on HWY 70 for a long time. About two minutes after we're on the highway sheets of rain pummel us along with copious amounts of wind, thunder and lightening. It was insane.

I did call Romo though and he made it through alright. My hands are clean.

So, the special-order power cord I got is constructed kind of funny. Regular 3-prong plug, but the prongs are at a right angle to the cord (so it goes flat against the wall - good), and upside-down, so the ground prong is AWAY from the length of the cord. This means if I plug it into the bottom outlet, it completely blocks the top one where the disposal is plugged in. And the top one is on a switch, so I can't just move it to the bottom or the disposal would run non-stop.

My options are:

1. Re-wire the outlet (working under the sink and behind the disposal in poor light)

b. Set fire to the house

#. Go to the hardware store (closed by the time I discovered this), buy a replacement plug or pigtail and do what Fuller ####ing suggested 2 pages ago, and then throw the worthless POS cord I special-ordered in the ### #### garbage.

Bourbon, take me away!

I hate tornado warnings, sirens and severe weather. Had my kids in the basement this evening because the sirens were going off here. My youngest is in tears because he has to get all of his stuffed animals down to the basement with him and we are rushing him. Ugh.. what a night.

Yeesh, no fun. Hoping it passes on by.

SLB option:

C; electrocute yourself AND set fire to the house

Someone tried to land a helicopter in my yard today. Why do these things always happen to me when I'm trying to masturbate?

Mrs. SLB said when they went off the dog started barking at her and they kids then ran down into the basement. That's pretty cool.

Thought I'd share a few pics I found online from the funeral today of Lt. Walsh of Boston Fire. FF Michael Kennedy's funeral is tomorrow. I'll be there.

Chills. Those are beautiful though sad. Is there any more universally respected profession than firefighting? Love those guys.
Another story on how the guys helped find his wedding ring, something his wife wanted.
Very poignant. Thanks for posting. Much respect.

I didn't mean for that to sound like doge.
Thanks for the laugh, I needed it on a very somber day.

Today was a very good showing. 20 deep for as far as I could see left and right. Got to see Fire Fighters from all over the country as well as Great Britain, Australia, Scotland and Canada. I hope I never have to go to one of these funerals again but I know better.

Pretty drunk right now so thanks for letting me post here, one of the few threads I actually read anymore.

Totally agree that having to go around bikers on a busy road is a pain in the ### sometimes. But good lord some of the posters in that thread are insane. My favorite was the dude whose odd hypothetical involved either crashing into another car or into a pack of 10 cyclists. He'd purposely hit the bikers and then sue to get the paint on his truck fixed or somesuch. Seemed like a nice fella.
That thread is a gong show. I really hope a couple of those guys are fishing.

And yes, going around cyclists is a pita when you're driving.

Into season 6 on the Sopranos. Next 3 up in order are:

House of Cards

GoT

Boardwalk Empire

Does anyone strongly disagree with the order? Cards would probably be 3rd but it's bumped up because our favorite PR girl likes it.

I'm really enjoying the Sopranos but Uncle Junior's storyline and character suck. Also, there are too many random goombas that drift through the plotline for a few episodes and then disappear. Pretty sure I need a show with more focus like Breaking Bad.

Is K4 also watching this? Would be interested in what the co-high priestess of the GMTAN has to say about it.

Marge: Homer, sitting that close to the tv can't be good for you.

Homer: And talking while the tv is on can't be good for you.

Finished Sopranos a couple weeks ago, finished House of Cards this week.

Just started Boardwalk Empire tonight... The first episode has Steve Buschemi, mobsters, boobies and midgets boxing. Off to a good start

BE can suffer a bit from being too pretty, and not engaging enough. It gets even stronger in seasons 2 and 3 IMO. Especially 3.

Whatever anyone tells you, don't watch that Walking Dead horse####.
