I will let him give details.
Oat - you up with the terrorist?
I am GB. Quite a mess here these days. She's been throwing up for four days and losing weight, and that's a little scary for an 8 week old. Mrs. O is completely losing her ####, wheels are coming off. Had an ultrasound yesterday and ruled out a serious issue, so that was good, but she threw up both her feedings last night. Beginning to feel like this is over our doctors' heads and we need a specialist. We haven't had a decent night of sleep in a while, I've taken a few days from work just to be around and help out. Quite a mess. Hoping for better things today.
THANKS OATSY
That sucks dude. Lukey had relatively serious stomach issues (though not quite throwing up every meal bad) when he was 2 - 3 months old. We ended up going to a pediatric gastroente...a stomach doctor. That's where we found relief. Turned out to be just severe reflux that we could treat with a prescription medication. We had some friends that went through something similar to your situation and also went to the same doctor for help. Their solution was the same medication that they had to give in tiny doseson a frequent basis so that their daughter could keep it down. Process sucked, but it was way better than what was going on.
Abe - guess I missed my lunch invite.
Exactly what we're asking for today, to try and see a specialist. She was on zantac for a while but it didn't seem to be working much. And that was just spitting up/reflux. The past few days have been stomach-emptying throwing up, and it just feels like something different. It's weird because up until last night it wasn't happening regularly -- once or twice a day at most. She was losing weight at that rate, so missing all overnight feedings like last night has to be even moreso. She's kept down two bottles this morning so far, but #### is still scary. Heading in to see a doctor in an hour. We'll see.
I took my toddler to Burger King this morning. I'm emotional eating. The French Toast Sticks are to die for.
