GM's thread about nothing (24 Viewers)

Pretty sure there's a blog series on this if you can read Abelish.
I haven't been able to purchase the Sacamano translator yet.

Uruk, thanks for the info. GLLLLLLL with fixing yours. I reached out to the guy who built the staircase to see if he had recommendations on who could do this. Actually homeadvisor is where we found him so that's a good thought.

Reported Eminence today. I think the last time I reported somebody it was Bob Sacamano for not liking lettuce. I got in trouble for that.

I appreciate your comment - very funny - esp. since I am "in " that thread. But please don't use the report a post feature this way. Other mods then have to examine what you are talking about, etc., etc.

(very funny, though).

Thanks!

Marc

Report:

As you can see, this Sacamano is NOTHING but trouble. He is a danger to produce and humans alike. That poor lettuce is somebody's salad.

Chiggers and weed quiche aside, I mentioned a few weeks ago that some serious #### went down at my work and has had a profound impact on me. I think I know a lot of you already know this, but consider the time with your family to be the most precious and above all else.

Amen brother

I guess I just care about our leafy brethren a bit more than you people.

ETA: Also fish said if I don't take care of my trees my neighbors will be entitled to all my stuff or something like that.

Do other people here have arborists? That's really a thing?
What am I supposed to do, hire Otis to take care of it? I have a tiny yard with only two (large) trees and need a guy, so I assume I can't be the only one.
I live in a ####ing desert. The only thing we do with trees here is kill them. I'm not suggesting you shouldn't have an arborist. I've just never had a need for an arborist. Or even known an arborist, actually. Or given much thought to the idea that there are places where the supply of trees creates the demand for someone to have a tree-centric career.

Did you have to get an umbrellist when you moved up there, too?

Sounds like you're a bit prickly about this tree thing.
Would have been even better as a David Caruso thingie.
Didn't want to steal anyone's shtick, just wanted to needle you a bit.

It's okay, I'm about to leave.

People go to school up here for this up here. Sort of a thing in the Northwest.

:lmao:

I had one in Chicago, too, and I hardly had a yard there either but had one gigantic tree to take care of. I'm sure it's a lucrative career in these parts.

Caring for umbrellas?

How strange.

Anything we can do to help, GB? You and Shuke are too good and too nice to get ball kicks from life.

Those should all go to Tanner. ;)

Some great stuff in here today. Lunch was great and little YSR is an angel.

I like drinking whiskey on the rocks. I like drinking whiskey with coke. I like drinking whiskey with 7up. I guess that makes me a pussy compared to the guy in the yellow shirt.
Most excellent, ##### indeed!

Now tell me more about these mythical **** chiggers.......
The first time I found out chiggers existed was when I was 13. I spent a week in KC with a good buddy visiting his dad. (His mom and dad were divorced which was really rare back in 1984 where I lived) Anyhow, we were making out with some chicks on a blanket in a wooded area on a Thursday. I went back home on Friday. Come Saturday I had all of these god awful bites under my arms that itched like crazy. I received a letter in the mail the following week that said "I hope you are enjoying your chiggers". :lmao: Funny dude.

I've never had them on my #### before though. Chiggers are the worst.

Staining pro tip (from a buddy of mine that owns a deck building business). Buy a weed sprayer and use it as a stain sprayer .

And your wife is buying the "I was getting a golf ball story". Bravo my friend, bravo. We just call them crabs here. ;)

I actually thought the FBG Paint Brigade at shuke's was a great idea.

Os, hang in there my friend. There are a ton of good folks here that may be able to help with whatever you have going on. I've been the beneficiary of it personally.

Interesting idea.

Funny you mentioned about the umbrellas. I brought about 4-5 of them with us and have never used one; have noticed no one else ever does either. It's weird.
