GM's thread about nothing (13 Viewers)

This trip has been interesting. I decided to leave Thursday night at around 7:30 - figured it would be a good idea to knock out a few hours of te trip after the little one's bedtime so it would shorten her awake-in-car-seat time on Friday. I figured I'd get to Clarksville, TN at least (little over three hours). But I was feeling pretty good by Clarksville so I kept going. Once I crossed into KY, I got Romo started on finding a hotel for me.

Turns out, April 23-26th was National Quilt Week and we were told by numerous hoteliers that there was not a single hotel within 75 miles of Paducah, KY (where the National Quilt Museum is located) that wasn't completely booked. I did end up finding someting of a flea bag hotel in the Paducah area, only to arrive and have Charlotte wake up and decide to stay awake for the next two hours. That plan totally backfired. Finally got to sleep around 3:00, just to be up the next morning to get some work done before hitting the road for St. Louis.

Bob and his chiggers were awesome to meet up with me for lunch, especially since I called him somewhat last minute to arrange it. We had Mexican and sat outside downtown, and my daughter made eyes at him the entire meal.

BTW, y'all really killed it in here yesterday. I kept making mental notes of the posts I wanted to like or respond to when I got out of the car, but by the time I drove from St. Louis to Kansas City I was exhausted and just couldn't do it.

But "Mr. Pipp" pretty much made me spit out my drink.

Was the Mexican food any good? This is very important. And is anything itching yet?

Damn, girlfriend. I'm sure Romo knows what you've gone through to see him this weekend, but that's some good love right there and ain't no doubt he knows it.

It was very good.

I know, my post is boring. I really just wanted to complain about this Quilt Show but I got tired while typing and didn't want to talk about it anymore.

I wouldn't say it was boring, but the character development was a little lacking.

Why do people engage the idiot trolls on the board. I'm looking at you Abe. I just don't get it.
Oh i don't know. Ignoring them doesn't do anything. That's really the first time I've ever engaged a troll for the purpose of calling them a troll. Maybe I was hoping to make posting is unfun for him that he'd go away. Apologies.

The boys were fishing on top of the spill way at the fishing derby today when the 4yo brother of one of the kids lost his balance and fell into the lake. Thankfully me and my cat like reflexes were around because I dove on top of the spill way and pulled him out, arms flailing and panicking, while his dad and Mrs. SLB were in shock. Didn't get a thank you from either him or his dad. It's not like I'm a hero (I am) but a thank you would have been nice.

Should have thrown him back in for being rude.

I think everyone was just in shock that you jumped into the water without harming yourself.

I dove onto the spillway, not into the water. I'm not going to ruin my phone for some stupid kid.

No need to apologize I clowned mop once* It's what they want. They feel validated if people quote or engage them. When we all ignored that clown dyp or whatever his name was, he just left this thread.

*if my clowning him in any way contributed to his departure then it was well worth it.

Reported Eminence today. I think the last time I reported somebody it was Bob Sacamano for not liking lettuce. I got in trouble for that.
Absolutely nothing, received no warning points; zilch. General Malaise has been on my case for months now and if anything is trolling me. Here's a search result of every interaction he's ever had with me. For the sake of brevity, I'll post a few examples.

I don't understand the fascination with Eminence. It's pretty bad fishing that's not remotley interesting. What's drawing you folks in?
For those of you that don't wander into the Eminence thread....

Get in there now. New youtube vid posted.

it rules
I don't get it. At all. Are we supposed to laugh at him?
What's the process for inviting members and initiation to the GMTAN? Because Eminence is my nominee.
Still not sure I get this.
+1

I'm sorry, but the DPS incident is still too fresh to invite more fruit loops here. But you can start your own thread and play with him there, Abe. Worked for MOP.
He's been against me every step of the way. If it continues, I'll start reporting his posts. He comes into almost every thread I post and tries to derail it, which is funny because I have left his thread alone.

Eminence is a weird dude, but he's posted videos of himself on youtube. He fancies himself a fantasy expert, stock expert, and not sure what else. He's probably not going to last here much longer either, but I'm not sure posting a thread asking for help with his homework is all that objectionable with regard to FFA content.
First, I would like to admit that I have come to terms with the fact that I am not nor will I likely ever be a stock expert. I am however, a fantasy expert and am willing to take you on in a league any day Mr. Rudnicki. I don't know how I'm not going to "last here much longer". So long as people stay respectful towards me, I shouldn't have a problem sticking around.

Oh no? Prior to today I had ONE POST in this thread. Yet, when I search how many times my name was mentioned in this thread itself, it's been mentioned in 4 pages worth of posts.

4-pages of Eminence mentioned in this thread.

EDIT: Link doesn't work, go to advanced search type my name as the keyword and sort by threads with over 100,000 posts and you'll see a listing of 4-pages of my name mentioned within conversation inside this thread.

Respect is something you earn.

Don't forget the times you're referred to as "Em"

All I'm trying to establish is that if GM wants to play hardball, then I'm down to play hardball. I have respectfully avoided his thread but if he's going to run his mouth about me for no good reason. Maybe, just maybe, I'll start poking my head around. I mean, if nothing is sacred, why not?

We offered you a home in the wagering thread and we win the tug of war in the fbg company picnic every year v GMTAN. Now you're over here? *******

As a resident in both threads, the wagering thread would be a much better fit.
