GM's thread about nothing (74 Viewers)

Anyone who liked honky tonk man and Brutus the barber beefcake back in the 80's will love Adam Rose. He is a "rave" character and crowd surfs to the ring with a bunch of weird characters straight out of Alice in wonderland. And he's a good wrestler. It's awesome.

Hung out with NewGirl again this morning. We did it up SLB-style
You put it in her butt?

I ain't never been to jail.
Once was enough for me. Not recommended.Worst thing was sleeping on a bench with no bedding. GD I was sore the next day.

Adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, couple hours community service, and the case was later expunged. Basically it never happened. But a complete PITA, and I still feel like I got railroaded.

Long story but basically I was getting hassled by three punks while playing tennis at a public court (I now belong to an indoor TC). Things escalated. I wacked one kid (turned out he was 17) with my racket, grabbed another by the scruff of the neck and tossed him a few feet, third one ran off. Fifteen minutes later I was getting hooked up and being lowered into the back of a squad car. Assault with a deadly weapon.

There were two WSJ reporters on the court next to us. They pleaded with the arresting officers about what really happened, and came over to the precinct that night to give statements. So ####### ridiculous.

Probably could have fought it at trial and won, but I wimped out, took the plea and made it go away. This happened eight years ago. Totally surreal...me...jail. Still can't believe how it went down.

It was sobering and sad. One guy I became friends with had been in for 3 months and finally got released. Showed up to his parole hearing only to find one charge hadn't been handled. Tossed back in, looking at three months. Couldn't make bail because his parents didn't have $300. I had that much in my wallet at the time.

Another was a guy who had been revoked and had 2 years to go. He had been out six months but said he knew it was a matter of time til he got in trouble so he "got it over with."

Decided to fire up the smoker yesterday. Put 4 chickens on. I told my wife I wasn't pressuring her, but it would be nice to have people over, but I wanted her to try to be up for it. Ended up having some of our neighbors over for the evening, which was nice. I really need to upgrade my smoker. What a high maintenance piece of ####.

Tomorrow morning is my daughter's eye surgery. I'm not that nervous, just worried about her throwing a tantrum about not being able to eat/drink in the morning.

Tried to get my son out and help him ride his bike today. He's 9 and doesn't know how. What a horrible experience. He kept complaining that he didn't want to get hurt, and then was worried about being embarrassed about other kids seeing him try. Was in full-out tears at a few points but I kept making him get back on and trying. I really felt bad afterwards, but I feel like he's never going to want to do it. Maybe I need to take him somewhere else to try.

Keep at it shuke. You're doing the best. Tpw with your daughter tomorrow.
Thanks. I don't know, I really didn't show a lot of patience today. Then he started freaking out when I told him we were going to try again tomorrow, and the day after that.

I really should have tried more when he was younger.

"Big Bad John" by Jimmy Dean.

Precinct cops were nice. Let my gf bring me dinner. Cobble Hill isn't exactly experiencing crime waves, I was the only transfer. Instead of sending me to Central Booking I went to some jail down in Sunset Park under the BQE so I could have my own cell. Got arraigned the next day, out by mid-morning. I remembered getting asked "what the #### did you do" by basically every cop I met during the 17 hours I was detained.

Couple months later I went to a community court in Red Hook to work out a plea. The WSJ reporters kept calling me, wanted me to fight it and sue the city. I just wanted it in the rear view mirror. Community service was cleaning a rec center for a couple hours on a Saturday. Record was sealed, then expunged.

Obviously you can internalize that, but you can't get it back. Do the best you can now. If he would be more comfortable elsewhere, do that. But being there and teaching him something, anything matters.

Taking the trainng wheels off next week (5 y.o.). Think we're going to practice on the bb court for awhile.

GL w/ your girl tomorrow.

What I like to do when camping is drink until I can't feel my extremities and then pass out wherever. And throw lots of #### in the camp fire.
The last time I camped I got so drunk that I tried to put out our campfire by peeing on it. I fell backwards from squatting position and burned the back of my right thigh something fierce. So maybe leave the fire peeing to OH.
Would have paid at least $7 to see that.
I bid $8.
$100

WHOA, too rich for my blood! I figure if I hang out with YSR enough I'll just see this without having to pay.

GM>the Packers bought a lottery ticket in the person of Colt Lyerla. Duck fans on the innerwebs think he's a punk who will screw up almost instantly. Any reason to think otherwise? I'll hang up and listen.

I spent about 4-5 hours in the lock up when I was 21.

Started when I was 19 and got an open container ticket thanks to an moron friend of mine. I also did not have my license on me because I had lost it (it had also expired a month before I guess). Paid the ticket and renewed my license but did not return to the court to show proof of said renewal. I foolishly thought the DMV had some magic pipeline to the court system.

Fast forward almost two years. Some jerkoff takes a swing at me outside of a bar where my girlfriend worked. Cop drives by just in time to see me swing back. Cop would have let me go but record check came back with a bench warrant for "failure to appear".

Girlfriend (now wife) got the fine money from my mom. Hell I don't even think it was bail...just like a $250 fine.

I was processed pretty quick because arresting officer decided to be a cack and take me to the regular jail instead of local police holding. I may or may not have influenced his decision by being a smart-### on the way downtown.

The time I did in the tank was uneventful except it seemed like 3/4 of the dudes in there were in for domestic violence. The best part was two rednecks they threw in for drunk in public and drinking in a park after it was closed. I sat an listened to them for about 2 hours. The knew exactly how long it would take before they got out, how long it would take them to walk to the nearest liquor store, and how much money they would need for a "pint of Kessler".

I kind of wish I had kept in touch with them.

He thinks Sandy Hook was a hoax. Vocalized it on Twitter. I have nothing nice to say about that young man. Immensely talented. Blessed with unbelievable gifts. But he is a bad bad guy.

Tpw shukette!!

And it sucks, but let him crash on the bike. He'll naturally bail out and it won't be too Bad(hopefully) And it'll show him that he has control of what's going to happen. And definitely go somewhere else. Do it on a grass field for softer landings.

It's crazy how different kids are, my daughter took to a bike right away. She couldn't even touch the ground with her feet, as she came to a stop, the very first time she rode it, she calmly swung her foot over the cross bar and rode side saddle for a few feet and just jumped off. I'm not sure I could do that now. And I was ####ting bricks as she came to a stop, realizing she couldn't touch the ground. :prouddad:

Duh. You're a girl

Too tired. No sleep last night then had to drive 7 1/2 hours due to Memorial Day traffic, and have to get up at 4 to drive back for arraignment because I couldn't find a law-talking guy on a holiday on no notice.

Note to self: get arrested closer to home

Yep, unless that's a euphemism.
