GM's thread about nothing (58 Viewers)

80 miles away at this moment and closing is a van containing my mother in law, father in law, sister in law, and her 4 kids between ages 1 and 8. They drove from Utah and are visiting for two weeks. Although my inlaws still own a house here so they all have a place to sleep, there is no TV or internet which means they'll basically be living here the next 2 weeks. I'm probably going to have to work late a lot.
I think I'd get myself arrested or something.

Get some cake!

If you were supposed to go to a graduation party with your wife that she knew you didn't want to go to and said okay fine, you don't have to go and you said you know what, I think I won't go, and she was obviously annoyed you didn't go, and she came home and you were just obliterated on beer and Jaegermeister, on a scale of 1 to 10, how upset would your wife be?

"This one goes to eleven..."

Mine would probably be at about a 15, but if I were obliterated on beer/Jaeger I can pretty much guarantee you I wouldn't care and probably wouldn't remember how upset she was/wasn't the day after.

So in my mind, pretty much anyway you slice it, it looks like you win. Good job.

Beats me, I'm obliterated...right?

Mine would applaud my efforts.

Better to be drunk at home than drunk and obnoxious at the graduation party

Drinking bourbon and the Sox won. Just started watching Reservoir Dogs. Sundays are awesome

7...7.5 tops...but for reference I'd say a 10 is me putting my #### in another woman

Drinking a private barrel selection of Elijah Craig 12 that is absolutely fantastic... Liked it so much I went and grabbed 7 more bottles so I don't have to worry about running out. That should last me quite a while, or at least until the next time Tre visits

####### mold in the basement. #### me.
Do you know what kind of mold it is? Some can be taken care of with bleach and water. Other kinds, not so much. If it's the bad kind, don't #### around with it - that #### can #### you up in all kinds of nasty ways.
Should never use bleach on mold. Mold generally loves acid, but it looks like it's gone because it's "bleached." You're much better off mixing up a paste using toothpaste or some other form of bicarbonate, to raise the pH.
What? Bleach is a base.
 Ya gotta give him credit on the confidence scale.
hi
You're saying that a substance that happens to cause a mild acidic reaction is an acid. And as evidence you're giving us a chart that lists both bleach and ammonia. Which presumably you think are both acids.Don't mix either of those with an actual acid. It'll kill you with poison gas, because they're bases.

Clorox has a pH of about 12.
I was cleaning rust stains from around my furnace one time to get the house ready to be sold. I was using bleach, but it wasn't working real good, so I added Muriatic Acid to the mix.

Whoa.

Want to drink from my private barrel?

GB I played golf with Friday was in France last year and got mugged. Being a typical STL guy, he's no sucker and four guys isn't that many. Took two of them out and one of the other two sliced his from his elbow up to his shoulder. Lucky he's alive. Pretty cool scar though.
"Good thing my grandfather was here in the 40s. I don't know if I could have kicked the #### out of a group of Germans."

Well I was born 8 years after Jaws was released, so...
Awesome reason. Watertight.
Besides cos, I reckon I'm the oldest person who semi-regularly posts here. I can recall my mom taking me to see 2001 when it came out. I'm sure she thought it would be like Star Trek - a space-action-adventure flick - and not the Kubrick cluster#### it was. I remember my mother yanking my hand and dragging me back to the car, while I was asking her questions about what we just saw.

Jaws was a great movie, though.
:hifive:

Such gas. Very poison. Wow.

Jeezus christ, I'm at that point where I just want more to drink to keep the buzz going. I'm not an alcoholic nor is there any depressing or elating reason for me to be drunk. It's Sunday. All my work is done. It's sunny. Beautiful. And ### #### it, the beer got me in a good mood. 4 Tecates and a Flower Power and some fine Dominican rum later and I'm looking at the near future sadness of an empty glass and thinking about the crappy tequila and brandy I have left and thinking, screw it, if ever that stuff was going to get downed, it's now.

I have to go to class tonight. At church. Because we are getting our daughters baptized.

It's a class with a bunch of other couples who are having their kids baptized, and one couple who leads the class who REALLY digs jezuz.

Really looking forward to this.

We got lucky and got most of our kids were baptized the same time as my wife's religious cousins kids, so we were like a rider or something

Just defeated a 6 pack...go for more beer or switch to bourbon ?
What are your bourbon options?
Woodford Double OakedNot bourbon but might be some Canadian Club in the cabinet

It's either that or a New Holland Sundog Amber or some Sam IPA
Really like the Woodford Double Oaked
Price was a little steep though...gonna give this 4 roses a shot next time I pick up a bottle

My daughter hasn't been baptized catholic but my ex had her baptized in her Christian mega rock uber modern church. According to catholic law, my daughter is currently slated to join me in hell. Part of me enjoys watching my parents squirm over this... a good taste of their faith

Yeah, in that price range it's tough to make it a daily drinker, but hey, it's Sunday!

I don't know what's more shocking... That Alice from the Brady Bunch was still alive, or that she had roommates at 88.

RIP Alice, may you and Sam the Butcher enjoy eternal life together
