GM's thread about nothing (59 Viewers)

Tomorrow and Friday we're having the accent wall in the master bath and WC painted plus the extra room and bath painted. I suggested to Mrs. SLB that she go downstairs to see what paint we had left from phase 2 of the job since there was plenty of it. She objected to this and started going through the paint swatch cards. She selected three colors for the four different area. Two of the "new" colors she choose are what we used in other areas already and we have almost a gallon of each.
Put a price tag on the old cans, walk out the garage, carry them in through the front door and proudly give her the new cans of paint.
:lmao: Well done, sir!
:lmao: Dang, I'm slow lately.

Mrs SLB is getting new cans?
She has mentioned that she would like a lift or something.
Lady raiders talks of this from time to time. The appointment with the boob doctor is sobering both in $$$ and in exactly what the slice and dice will entail. A lift will get you perkier #### that May or may not be even. You will also have what I refer to as anchor boobs. A circular scar around the nipple, cause they remove it :X . A scar from the bottom of the nipple through the underside of the breast, with a half circle scar forming the bottom of the anchor where the breast meets the upper stomach. Oh and she may or may not lose all sexual sensitivity in her nipples. A major drawback for lady raiders. :D

Really good boob jobs are rare, most feel like boulders. Might look good, but feel awful.
This happened to Mata's sister after her boob job - basically numb at the nips. Hers was done years ago, however.

Missed my ####### train this morning. Left the house 2 minutes later than normal and there was no parking. Now tomorrow the dr suggested that the wife attempt a "version" to try to get the kid's head down. 3 potential out comes: most likely it will not work at all and we wasted our time; less than 50% it works and we have a natural birth at some point but likely later term because he hasn't put any pressure in her junk yet; very unlikely there could be an emergency c-section. Because of option 3 I have to take off tomorrow now and see what happens. Totally not ready for this yet. Kind of freaking out inside.

Need to start thinking about what you guys want to eat/drink for tailgating. As of now I have some homemade Polish sausage and kraut to grill. Would anyone prefer something else? I'll get some other tailgatey type food like potato salad. Suggestions welcome.

Miller Lite

High Life

Bud Select (eeew, but it's for SLB and Pepper)

Various New Glarus

Various other beers

(you guys are on bourbon/whisky)

One 16oz bottle of water to share

TF Bags of ice

Homemade Polish Sausage and kraut

Pork loin bites wrapped in homemade chorizo and bacon

One chicken breast (SLB does pepper want marinade or BBQ sauce or what?)

Potato and macaroni salads

Doritos/chips/pretzels

Big dice

Big Jenga

Cornhole

Going shopping tomorrow. Any other requests/requirements?
You're the best. I really mean that, not like all the other times I've said it to other people here. She usually just jerks the chicken but really anything will be fine. Seriously. She'll loosen up and stray from her usual diet since we're out of town.

You'll be fine and if you aren't, you HAVE TO fake it. Don't be that whiny new dad. Billions of people have gone through it. Plus there's alcohol.

Shuke > pick you up at 9 am on Friday to head up to BeerHole for the weekend?
Sorry, man. Stuff sucks right now at home.
Sorry to hear, GB

####, hang in there guys.

I have decided to purchase two tickets to the futures game and celebrity softball game this Sunday and take my son because even though he's only 4 this is something I should take him to and also I can't afford tickets to anything more fun on all-star weekend ($25 for this, HR derby $156, AS Game $300, Fanfest sounds like torture).

I know, I'd rather be at beerhole too, but I got a thing on Saturday.
In '99 my buddy who worked for the Red Sox had tickets for the home run derby and for the actual game the next night. He kept the game tickets and gave me the derby tickets which were behind home plate. One of the best derby's ever, McGwire, Sosa, Bagwell, Nomar (this was back when steroids and PEDs were legal and accepted by society) and Griffey won it beating the immortal Jeremy Burnitz in the final round. I left thinking my buddy made a huge mistake taking the game tickets but then that was the AS game when they introduced the 50 greatest players on the field and Ted Williams came out in the golf cart blah blah blah blah. But I'm sure the celebrity softball game on Sunday will be just as exciting for you.

Actually, if Zach Morris or Screech are playing, Frosty would be so excited he'd probably let a homeless person rub his head.

Uh huh
Seriously, totally buying tickets.

Speaking of totally, my wife sent me a text today where she meant to write totally but whatever she wrote autocorrected to orally. Completely changed both the meaning, and my reaction, to the text.

Have you mentioned the phrase "grip it and rip it" to your wife yet?

Or, conversely, that it's not actually possible to be "ready."

well, yeah.

I still have no idea wtf is going on with this whole "kid" thing.

I'm talking more about only getting less than 48hr notice of having to go in for a procedure that could result in an emergency c-section when we thought we had a week still. I don't get why they couldn't try the version the same day as the scheduled surgery when it probably won't work anyway.

The earlier external version is done (once it can be done) the more likely it is to be successful.

The likelihood that external version leads to an emergency c-section is extremely low. And the fact that your doctor is willing to try it means your baby is expected to be just perfect when born. Which is awesome news!

This could really be a good thing for you guys. I've had 2-3 friends who have had successful external versions, which allowed them to have natural births. The doctors are VERY careful with heart-rate monitoring, etc. during the procedure, so try not to worry too much. I very seriously doubt you're having a baby tomorrow.

We won't be able to stay for the all-star softball since my daughter has tee ball that night. Just going to get to watch the Futures game. Really hoping there's a future hall of famer in there somewhere.

Yea the stats are not bad for the trouble scenarios.

What is annoying is we were told several weeks ago that she was not a candidate for the external version due to low fluid range. Then last week they scan her to make sure it didn't go down so we can eliminate the possibility of a leak. We also did a non-stress test because he wasn't moving as much (that went 100% fine and he perked up the next day). At that point the perinatal doctor said it looks like the fluid is actually an 11 and not a 7 as there was a pocket discovered after the kid moved a bit. So he tells the wife she is a candidate for the version but go talk to your obgyn. She goes upstairs and the one doctor we already think is crass is the only one there. He talks to her for 30 seconds and says if you're already scheduled for the C, then just keep that and forget the version. Yesterday she sees another doctor who thinks he can do the version and says if you can do something to avoid surgery you should --- so we are scheduled for tomorrow morning unless my wife changes her mind. Also note that they have to prep her as if there is a surgery just in case and she has that a anesthesia allergy that requires special handling.

I'm just stressed and venting.

Went to order the tickets this morning. Set my price on Stubhub to between $20-$25. Here are the sections that had tickets in that range: Standing Room Only, 329, 330, 331, 332, 334, 323, 324, 325, 327, 301, 302, 303, 304, 307, 221, 237, 229, and…….125.

So we'll get to watch the Future Stars of American Baseball from the first level. Pretty sweet. I've even heard of 13 of those guys.

Literally, BILLIONS. Over 1 million c sections are done every year in the US alone. It'll be ok
