They feel for the guy, but don't like the book and feel that the story told in it isn't exactly accurate. And for some reason they say the movie is most likely more accurate they won't go into much detail and this much only came out after much drinking.

I checked myself into detox last month. This is day 35 of the rest of my sober life. Abe fits the mold for the abnormal drinker like me and so many others who just can't drink like regular people. Sure, we can keep it together for spurts but it always unravels. So far, it might be the smartest decision I've ever made.
