GM's thread about nothing (18 Viewers)

Paging Disco Stu... he also likes to make fun of adults playing video games.

Not sure what the big deal is. After drinking all afternoon yesterday I played xbox online with another FBG for about an hour last night.
you're like 26 and single or something, aren't you?I think most of these dudes are about 40 and married with kids.

don't get me wrong, I'm sure they are fun. I just can't believe people have the time to play that much (and then post about the games on a message board? wtf?).

EDIT: Also, I wasn't making fun of them. I just find it surprising I guess. I'd like to sit around and play too I guess so maybe I'm just jealous.
I guess the family aspect of it may be a little strange, but for many older guys with kids it was more of a late night hobby after kids were asleep. Kinda similar to GMTAN in some ways, bunch of guys shooting the #### and getting drunk.

My experience is limited to one particular game that happened to have a lot of FBG beerguys playing it though. No idea what that skyrim and other stuff is like. They may be weirdos who take that stuff way too seriously.
I remember at one time thinking the cool thing about having boys would be playing video games with them. I've found I just don't care now however. Of course that could be said about a lot of things I guess.
I did play some WII bowling and tennis and baseball with them, but that got boring pretty fast. The WII is in their room now. I don't think they play it very much. Seems like you buy an expensive video game system and then it is outdated and the cool kids are buying a new one.

I enjoyed Tecmo Bowl.

There's a dive bar down the street with a bunch of pinball machines that eat your quarters half the time. They also have one of those table top style arcade games with a ton of classics. Played both Dig Dug and Galaga last time I was there.

Big fan. Was considering busting out my old Nintendo yesterday but decided to eat pizza instead. Amongst other things I jammed in my hole all day.

Pinball>>>Video Games
Big pinball fan. Fond memories of going to Aladdin's Castle and there just being wall-to-wall pinball machines.

All gamblers ever talk about is their wins. Hell, I had Germany in my work pool. Return of 32/1. CRUSHING!!!!

I also sucked ### in charvs pool, the other more expensive work pool, etc.

Just busting balls. I hope you rake those books over the coals
I have a little extra $$$ to play with. I don't spend money on clothes, video games, big boy toys, golf or really anything else, so with a little disposable money, I like to put some coin down on things I can watch and enjoy.
Change that to:

I have a little extra $$$ to play with. I don't spend time or money on clothes, watching Division III basketball, big boy toys, golf or really anything else, so with a little disposable money, I like to play video games.

Like I said, Different strokes for different folks. You got people who like melons and people who don't.

Someone PM me and tell me who MC Poopy Pants or Gas Money or whatever he is calling himself is.
he was DSP a couple months ago before he asked to have his account banned

a few years ago he was Blue magic and DrZoidberg or something and he offered to write poems on Otis' face.

Bill, How do they test for cancer? Serious question.

With lady raiders knockers they did a biopsy, how did they find yours?
I'm not sure what they do for other types of cancer or even with other lung cancers. With me, they first did an X-Ray then a CT scan. They also took about a gallon of my blood at various points, but I don't recall where (or how often) in the process this was done.

Sorry if I came off as harsh earlier with you & Bob. After I posted, I was thinking "Jesus, you meathead, they were probably kidding around".
No way on both. I've been drinking WAY too much. Even for me. I feel a lot better today but I'm still going to take a few weeks off. For reals this time. I also need to lay off the hard stuff. I can drink a dozen Jack & Cokes without thinking. Game plan is to stick to beer and have 1-2 whiskeys at the end of the night.

Completely agree. Again, thanks for caring UH

#######, it's hot outside!
Wearing long sleeves here. Got downright chilly last night.
:goodposting: Wearing a light sweater today.
Can't believe you were at Racoon Lodge. That's like, my hood, yo! Kinda.

Not a huge fan of Racoon Lodge. Not a bad spot, but I always feel like the food is kinda meh.
We actually had the opposite experience--food was great but didn't like the spot much. We only ended up there because I accidentally put that address in the GPS instead of the Cascade Brewpub downtown. At that point we were starving as it was past 2, so decided to stay anyway rather than driving back downtown.

That Raleigh Hills area was beautiful. Is that where you are?

Yeah, you weren't really anywhere near downtown. :lmao:

I'm not in Raleigh Hills, but on the door step of its sister neighborhood Vista Hills. Some really nice homes tucked into those little winding roads. Not mine, mind you, but some others. One difference between the west side of Portland and Seattle is that both areas have some great neighborhoods, but Seattle's will come with awesome bars and restaurants within walking distance. You have that in droves in East Portland, but West Portland is a wasteland of strip mall restaurants, chains, bad local joints and an occasional decent spot that you really can't walk to like Raccoon Lodge.

Hey, just learned that I was mispelling the word 'raccoon'. :bag:

Thanks to Frosty for the box of crap!! Kayden Kross is hot, and I love The Americans (suck it Tanner).
:hifive:

Put me on the sausage list.
That sausage is outstanding.

Also, just googled Kayden Kross. She is comely.
She used to be on my "sports" morning radio show all the time so I got a little more perspective on the true slut she really is. Big fan.

Hit the olive bar up today but they didn't have any blacks. Typical for this area I guess.
You should try an olive bar in East St. Louis next time.
Even the olives know better than to just stand around on the east side.
:lmao:

Some people asked for updates when Ham found out what happened to his son, so they wouldn't have to venture into the thread. Here you go:

So I just heard from the Medical Examiner, and this is what she said. We have to request a full Autopsy Report, but here's the gist.

Anyone have any knowledge - or questions that we should ask or research, by all means.

His heart was inflamed, consistent with Myocaridtis (as we suspected).

He had inflammation in his right lung and esophagus too. And he had Influenza A - the flu.

I quizzed her about what happened, and why and she essentially told me that it's random and rare in her experience (she's seen in 3 times in 5 years with kids, no apparent rhyme or reason) - but he had the flu, it spread to his lung and upper respitory system and somehow into his heart.

By the time he showed serious symptoms, his heart was infected.

He died of a heart attack or arrthymia caused by the heart's reaction to the virus.

Doctor said that also in her experience, some people are prone and less likely to beat it. She saw drug addicts have it severely and fully recover, while she's seen otherwise healthy kids like Connor die of it.

Our 4 year old had vomiting and diarrhea and shook it just as Connor got sick, so it could be the same virus that one had with mild symptoms for 48 hours and the other died from.

Anyone has knowledge or can think of follow-up to ask, please do.
So that's just, you know, pretty terrifying.
