Just the other day he used the word "blackie", and said something to the effect of he was fine with black people as long as they weren't up partying to all hours of the night.

My 4-year old loves Jaws and Jurassic Park. He also chooses nothing but dinosaur documentaries when he gets to netflix on the ipad (sorry gm) and those get pretty bloody with the reenactments and stuff. It all depends on the kid, imo.

To put it another way, if grandpa told the Jaws story to my 4-year old son he'd be enthralled and love it and then want me to retell it every night before bed. If he told it to my 6-year old daughter she'd have nightmares for weeks.

well, this came out of nowhere

i'm ok with not being in the favor of a 40something year old alcoholic that cheated on his wife with his own nanny. sometimes in life people don't mesh and that's ok. don't lose sleep over it. i'm sure when the nanny gets tired of you that krista will have a vacation home nearby you can stay at.

Sounds like my in-laws. FIL once dropped the old-timey version of 'eeny-meeny-miney-moe' on the kids when they were younger. We all jumped in with "TIGER. IT's TIGER". Even MIL knew that was wrong. And she was once asked while checking out at a clothing store if anyone had helped her. "Yes, the uhhh darker gentleman."

I caught it when it aired a week or so ago. It was fantastic. They reference a Carson lecture he was a part of at the University of Nebraska. It's on youtube. If you have an hour and a half and are a fan of Uecker it's worth a watch.
