My thoughts on BDubs.

Wings are pretty hard to screw up, and their wings are fine in a pinch. But when I go into a local tavern and order some wings (and this has happened once or twice in my life) I can literally say with 100% certainty that they have NEVER been worse than BDubs. I've been to places that BAKE the wings and they're still better than BDubs.

If I were jonesing for some wingy, it would be the last place I'd go. Besides Hooters, of course.

I think the quality of BW3 probably tanked a bit once they expanded everywhere. I'm sure some locations are decent though.

One was someone well known who posts mostly in a thread that rhymes with "ACC Basketball" who has had about fifty different screen names banned and who wished another poster would've died in a hurricane that killed some folks in the SE.

This is the exact guy I got banned for.

I'm pretty sure the "die in a hurricane" post (while casualties/damages were still being tallied, IIRC) was the only I've ever reported.

It's so easy to tell. Even before the Tyler Handsjob or UNC Cheating Hill stuff. He can help himself for maybe a week. Yeah, times have changed a lot. My time out tracking calendar used to have like ten usernames on it that were on temporary suspensions. As of two weeks ago it has zero. There are a few usernames that were permanently banned back in the day, though.

I'm amused by the fact that you got banned as a result of the Bradyfan Dong song being forbidden, but there's currently a 3 page long thread with the word dong in the title.

I'm not complaining, mind you. Just amused.

My cousins and I got together in Maine for Christmas one year and there was a Ground Round in the parking lot of our hotel. We walked over to the bar and imagine our delight when we arrived to find out they had $1 drafts!!

After ordering our second round, the bartender cuts us off... Says we are being too rowdy. My cousin and her husband decide to come to our rescue. They are both detectives with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, so they walk up to the bar, show their badges and try to talk the guy down off his ledge. No luck

So as we are leaving, my younger cousin rips one of the baseball bats they have mounted off the wall and takes it with him. We hit up a convenience store down the street that is about to close, grab a case of beer, throw it in a snow bank to stay cold along with the bat and head into the local pool hall to get drunk.

Truth be told I've only been to there one time (before wife went there). I was also not impressed by the food. I had some sort of chicken sandwich. The wings were good but I'm not exactly a wing aficionado.

Wondering where BW2 ranks in the pantheon of chain restaurants for people now. Please compare to Applebee's, Olive Garden, Red Slobster, Chili's, etc. TIA

I wouldn't eat at either one of the above, and went to BWW for the first time during the WC this summer. It was a nice place, with plenty of TVs, they had cold beer, and service even when they were slammed was fast. The "food" was appalling, but I also didn't expect much.

So in conclusion, I would rank them above all the others based on number of TVs.

Okay, here goes.....

I really don't get all the hate for Buffalo Wild Wings.

I know it's super cool to be all 'this place sucks' and 'my gosh I'd never eat at a chain restaurant', etc.....so I'll keep it real.

You're eating chicken wings ffs. You know what butchers did with chicken wings 25-30 years ago? they threw those ####ers out. And then one day, a bar owner said you know what? I bet these drunk ####### idiots will pay me money for chicken scraps if I fry them up and put some sauce on them. And guess what? he was right.

20 years ago when I went to college (yeah, I'm old, I get it), the bars by my college had wing night. 10 ####### cents a wing or 3 dollars all you can eat. You know why? This is not ####### gourmet food here, it's a ####### fried chicken wing.

So now, flash forward to today and there are lots of wing joints - here in Houston I can rattle off 5-10 different places within 5 miles of my home, easy.

When you go to Buffalo Wild wings are you expecting ####### duck orange with maybe some fois gras, and a nice sourbet to clense the pallet between courses? No, you're ####### getting chicken wings.

As a family of 5 what BWW offers that most places cannot are dinners that each family member likes pretty much - when we're in the mood for wings or similar.

Their beer is cold, their wait staff is friendly, and now they have these super awesome game units so the kids can play games at the table while I'm watching a game or talking to my wife. And after all is said and done, my family has had a meal, I've had 2-3 adult beverages, everyone is satisfied, and the total bill comes out to less than 75-80 bucks on average. Win/Win.

The difference is BWW doesn't pretend like Red Lobster to be treating you to some succulent, fresh out of the Maine waters fresh lobster and then deliver a steaming pile of ####. They don't tease you with gourmet delicacies found in mama's kitchen from Northern Italy and then throw out some mass salad and breadsticks with crap pasta.

No, they have beer, fried chicken wings and a reasonable price and they deliver.

to BWW. There you go. Ostracize me if you will, I'm not well liked around most parts anyway.

I've always been a big fan. However, quality has gone way downhill the past 20 years.

Also, I can't believe how much I used to eat there. 24 hot wings and a basket of buffalo chips with cheese was normal

I've gotten two I think. I called _4_ a dbag for one and for the other I commented that I would like to go on a Yayo/sex binge with one of the Olsen twins. I think they were even 18 by then so that one didn't make a lot of sense for me.

The worst one I got was a permaban from Shick with my MrPack name. He started an argument with me, I fought back and he permabanned me.

Not too long after that he quit, he was losing it and he knew it.
