GM's thread about nothing (56 Viewers)

Finally off the medication that when paired with alcohol would kill my liver. So I have 1 week until next Dr. appointment and then it's on to my first drink of the summer. Not sure, but this may be a perfect opportunity for a poorly rehearsed shot video. :oldunsure:

the girl and I have chatted about the possibility of making babies at some point. She's gone from early on in the relationship saying she's never really thought about having babies to saying she's scared that she wouldn't know what to do and would need to rely on me heavily, to saying she thinks she might want to have a baby sometime to now questioning whether she would want one or two... :oldunsure:

As anyone at BeerHole can attest from seeing me hanging out with Charles, I'm clearly not in the "no" camp
Exclusive yet?
Haven't revisited that conversation specifically. I'll keep you posted

That escalated quickly.
Obviously not something we would try to do anytime soon. More talking about what we are looking for eventually in life.

It's good to have these conversations early on so you don't end up too far down the road before you realize you want different things. :grad:

For the record, I didn't defer.

I'm just lazy.

I have to give props to Drifter. He offered me a ton if advice in planning this trip with my daughter and everything he suggested has been fantastic.

After spending the last two days in Seattle, my daughter and I head to Victoria, BC this afternoon.

We're going whale watching tomorrow, which should be the highlight of the whole trip.

My daughter officially rates Seattle in the top 2 places she's ever been :hifive:

Mrs. SLB and myself talked about this kind of stuff pretty early in our relationship so, you know, you've been warned and stuff.

Question for the group: Is there a threshold where you would watch wrestling on TV? Assuming you have to kill some time by watching TV, and the choices are Wrasslin' or something else... what would that something else have to be for you to go right into the turnbuckle?
My choices in TV growing up in Dallas were very very very limited. I watched wrestling on Sunday mornings because the alternative was church....Cowboys didn't start until noon at the very earliest - stupid Central Time. So, if the options were church or wrestling, I would again choose wrestling.

"Mr Sacamano, how exactly did you get stung?"

"Well doc, I was taking a picture of it for my Internet friends and obviously needed something for scale..."
A few years ago we had some hornets trying to get a little too friendly with the back of our house. I wanted to take no chance that when I shot some kind of poison at these things that it was just going to enrage them, so I bought Wopbrand Liquid Concrete Shoe Spray™. It worked like a charm.

When I saw this thing this morning, I went inside and grabbed that bottle. The puddle on the concrete is that spray. That ####er was on its back, stiff as a board, not moving for about 3-4 minutes... about 5 feet below where I took that picture. The additional 5 feet came from spray being applied liberally to little Lisa's face. I knew Lisa Scorpio slept with the fishes long before my hand came anywhere near her.

Great first day in Seattle. Walked around Pike Place Market and grabbed some lunch, had dessert in park overlooking the waterfront, rode the Ferris wheel, swam in the hotel pool for a long while and now a friend is swinging by to take my daughter and me out for dinner
Awesome. Where you staying?
Marriott Waterfront so we can walk to all the touristy stuff we want to do
Perfect. Such a cool city. Are you guys going to hit the Hendrix Music Experience Museum or whatever it's called? I want to take my boys to that one day.

I believe they hit the EMP yesterday.

Phoebe had her first soccer practice tonight. She probably won't be winning any MVP awards, but I'm happy to say she wasn't one of the five kids on her team who cried during practice.

Can't wait until I can coach Hazel's team.

You are so wise and spot on here....I worked at a BBQ joint in Mississippi that had a mustard based coleslaw. Paired up with pulled pork is pure bliss.

Some jerkass spider spun an enormous web in the garage right in front of the door. She ended up taking the boys to her parents until I could get home from work and "get rid of it"
Tell her to grow up, act like a rational adult, and burn the house down.

Man I can't stand horseradish. I love spicy stuff but horseradish (and wasabi) has that thing that I just can't stand. I understand and accept that I'm probably wrong. This isn't like mushrooms here.
This is insanity - Roast Beef with Horseradish and Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi are both top 20 things to eat for me - maybe even contenders for top 10.
I should like horseradish and wasabi, but I don't.
You've had REAL horseradish? Not that craptacular sauce stuff?

I may have to start a list of my own.
Sampled some "atomic" horseradish at a beer fest last weekend that blinded me for about 8 seconds

I can't imagine how painful that might be. I know guys that can take on all the "SO HOT YOUR POOP WILL BURN YOU FOOD CHALLENGE" and live to tell about it. Me? I so much as sniff Tabasco Sauce and I start sweating. I ate a Mango Habenero (sp?) wing at BWW on Saturday (look at me, I eat awful food!) and almost died. I had to stick my tongue in my glass of beer and just let it rest there. :bag:
