GM's thread about nothing (24 Viewers)

I'm showing Albert Oaks to two potential international buyers tomorrow, two days before is listed. Hoping for a short bidding war and quick sale.

Austin market is too hot for me to want to buy another home right away. Trying top decide whether to rent or move.
Krista and... ?

Krista and Krista. The two realtors got their wires crossed. Krista is about to enter into a heated bidding war with herself.

:lmao: would be priceless

"Elevator...11 bedrooms....three acres? Sounds perfect. Tell us a little about the pizza oven...oh? No pizza oven? Do you have any other properties you might show us?"

Shower beer is extra awesome

So after soccer with my amigos, we cooked a bunch of wonderfully marinated skirt steak and other lesser desired parts of the cow over a real wood fire. When they said we were going to BBQ I expected charcoal, but they rolled up with a bundle of firewood. Very cool!! I've never done that before and the meat was ridiculously good.
At some point I worked in a cabinet shop... had a guy who used to fish off the Potato Patch (SF) and catch great fish. Brought them back and would throw them over exotic wood chips from the shop. Freaking delicious. I wish I could remember which wood brought out the best flavor... hickory, IIRC.

Thanks again to all who gave advice on the "should I fire my stupid-### realtor" question. We made the change and then went to re-look at houses today with the new guy in tow. Within 10 minutes he had given us more valuable advice than three days with the other lady. Love him hard. Big thanks again to 'ninja who recommended this guy before our first purchase, on which we stand to make :boatloads:.*

*Very small boat. Dinghy-like, really.
 Rock on, K4.
How is day 2 (3?) in the new digs?
Official move date is this Friday. We're just vacationing during the day at the new place but sleeping at the old one.
euphemism, imo.

MLB's ticket buying system sucks big Gordong. I have found it impossible to buy tickets for the Brewers final home series against the Cubs. Hate this ####! :hot:

maybe they are trying to keep Cubs fans out and not letting people outside of the state buy tickets.

This has almost happened. New guy talked to listing agent of "the blue house", which is the one we've decided on, and was told that someone else was very interested and had looked at it two times last weekend. That was me. :bag:

We went out for Indian last night, and when they brought the food, we realized neither of us had remembered to order naan. I actually think I might have a brain tumor.

Had had some optimism about my dog with her heart issues but she all of a sudden is having trouble walking. Like her back legs won't support her and she'll just fall over. Dreading this vet visit because I think it may be time. Have a feeling my wife is going to convince me to put off the appointment until tomorrow and I'll have a sick feeling and be anxious all night.

Death sucks.

On a positive note, my MIL got approved for disability. So that's good. Hopefully it will be enough she can get her own place now. That would alleviate a lot of stress. At the same time, her cancer specialist also told her that while the type of cancer she has is typically very treatable, the specific form of it she has is not as treatable and that she will probably have to be on chemo for the rest of her life. So there's that.

So sorry about Bailey (did I get the name right?). :(

so sorry to hear, gd.

Grammar nerds: If I have a list that is lettered and I want to refer to it, is it still "enumerated" or is there another word for when you use letter designations instead of numbers?

Yeah, my little boston. Stoic little thing isn't even complaining at all.

My wife is trying to convince me that we'll just get one of those doggy wheelchair things and it will be all good. We'll see what a night of pain mess, rest and a hearing pad do before the vet visit tomorrow. Hopefully it's just a pulled muscle, back acting up or something stupid like a cracked nail that I'm missing.

I'm at least to the point in all this where I really don't want to be selfish and if it really is time, then I'll be able to go through with it. Last thing I want is for her to suffer.

That really sucks. Sorry, man.

Wife was out of town with the kids over the weekend... and I was able to get a lot of stuff done around the apartment (a lot of it at her request).

But now I'm getting the procession of texts about things I didn't do. Awesome.

The lesson here is: Never try.
I see you've attended Mr. krista's seminar.
Does he have a newsletter?
Yes, it comes out monthly quarterly semi-annually annually whenever he damn well feels like it.
