tl;dr: Neither my wife nor sister can nail down the details of a plan to save their lives.
The broads in my live are driving me up the wall.
I get home from work (where I had to deal with some total bull #### that could turn out to be a huge PITA) today and my wife asks me if I can deliver some cookies she made to my sister. That's really about the last thing I want to do but I say "sure".
Me: What time did [sister] say she would be home tonight?
Wife: I don't know.
Me: You told her I was going to deliver them tonight but she didn't tell you when a good time would be?
Wife: No, I didn't ask.
We then had a 5 minute "discussion" about how I have no problems doing things like this but if somebody is going to do you a favor you should work out all of the details for them ahead of time. Why? Because this sort of thing has happened a few times before.
Whatever. Wife leaves for work and I text my sister.
Me: When would a good time be for me to drop those cookies off?
Sister: Well I'm over at [our brother's house] setting up for the bridal shower for tomorrow (that's what the cookies are for) so it will be a while.
So now I'm tempted to reply with something like "does 'a while' mean 1 hour or f-ing 4 hours" but I don't.
Me: OK, but can I get an estimate?
Sister: 7pm (it was just before 5pm)
Me: Great, see you then.
An hour later sister texts me back
Sister: hey, the Giants game is on at 7:15. [brother] says we can hang out here and watch it. You could just bring the cookies here. If you don't want to I can just head home. I have stuff to do there too.
Yeah because I'm such a huge baseball fan that I want to drive 20 minutes to watch a regular season game.
Me: I really don't want you to change your plans. Is there anyway I can deliver them to you in the AM?
Sister: oh yeah! just bring them by before 10am
Me: great
So basically if my wife had called/texted my sister today about specifics they (probably) would have figured out that the best thing to do was for me to deliver them tomorrow.

That was there just for you!
So we went out for dinner tonight and the place just kept getting more and more packed. I noticed a lot of people in Seahawks t-shirts and jerseys, and thought it was cute that they were so into their team that they just wore these randomly throughout the year.
NO. It was a Seahawks preseason game. And these people were into it. Like, more raucous than a regular Bears game, unless against the Packers, or an early playoff game (not that we get many of those). It was insane, with people standing up and screaming at the TV when the third-string RB tore off a good run. They even cheered well before the game started, when the ####### ads came on saying the game was going to be shown soon. Really, a local news ad about an upcoming preseason game garnered that much excitement.
