GM's thread about nothing (26 Viewers)

I bought a bag of ice yesterday for $1.99. I handed the cashier $2 and walked away before she could even try to hand me one of those outdated useless coins.
Sorry you wasted $1.99 and the time it took to make the trip to get he ice.

But what happened with the penny? That was his inner dialogue. Did he get the penny? Did he leave it in the take a penny tray? Did she pocket it as part of her own really slow superman 3 scheme?
Oh, I took the penny, all right. Because the total due was $4.99, not $5.00. I will admit to being frugal, but I will not apologize. I don't make FBG money, so if I want to go to Vegas twice a year, I have to economize elsewhere.
I'll cover our Tigerfan League Dues, GB. :oldunsure:

It might be helpful if we knew if they were moving to Midland or Dallas or Austin or Tyler.

HEY GUYS, I KNOW SOMEBODY MOVING TO EUROPE. CAN YOU SUGGEST SOMETHING EUROPEAN?

Wife is gone out of town with our only working vehicle. Mine is in the shop.

I am thankful for the chance to sit around and watch nascar without interruption. But I drank all my beer last night. :(

So I am wondering about walking the 1.25 miles to the convenience store for more. Hm. It's not the walk that would be bad, it's walking home carrying a case of beer.
I'm going to guess there are absolutely NO TIES between your lineage and the Pilgrims, Lewis & Clark, Admiral Byrd, The guys who pretended to land on the moon or ANY of the explorers, am I right?

####### Rick Perry. He had to go get indicted and now the local news doesn't have time to do TV interviews with me about a volunteer project we are doing tomorrow morning. The worst part is that I have to spend my time actually volunteering instead of talking about volunteering.

:lmao: My expenses are also low. I don't have a wife or children. I don't make a lot, but I don't spend a lot. I'm the anti-Patrick Ewing.

Yeah, I asked my realtor® a couple of days ago to find this out, but I don't think he has yet. I don't even know if they're moving to the city like you or the suburbs like Babe. Why don't you throw out some general suggestions that I could tailor appropriately when I find out? I was counting on you as Mr. Texas to know this one.

Granted, I've only bought three houses and sold one so I will defer to the subject matter expert(s) here, but I have never given nor received a gift from the other party when buying or selling a house. Is this something that I'm supposed to be doing?

We left a selection of local sauces/foods, a bottle of champagne and two glasses for the people who bought our house.

How much are you looking to spend?

I'm drinking whiskey and watching Breaking Bad on my outdoor TV. The good thing about getting bigtimed on my morning tv appearances is that I don't have to be at the middle school at 6am so I'm getting a little tootered. I'm still supposed to be on KEYE at 9 for any locals that might be interested.

See, this is why you and Krista are better people than I.

Not "supposed to", I think. For me, it depends. I did nothing for the people who bought our Memphis house because they were the worst people on earth and I hope they die in a fire or in whatever fashion is more excruciating than a fire, like maybe are set on fire after being partially eaten but not killed by a bear.

But usually, I do something.

I don't know--I'm open on cost.

For as much as my 19 year old drives me crazy some times he cracks me up.

He just got back from hanging out with some friends in L.A. They went to a couple of concerts and bummed around. He tells me they were in Venice and saw that this place was not only offering free HIV testing but giving gift cards as incentives. So he and his buddies all did it. He was more excited to tell me he got a $10 Taco Bell card than being HIV negative.

(Probably already done, but I wasn't home most of the day)

that thread feels like Trayvon Martin all over again.
I'm glad not to have read either one, but I can identify by reading the names with whom I'd be agreeing or disagreeing, EXCEPT who the hell is "Gary Coal Man"?
