I stopped off at the neighborhood convenience store for a six-pack last night, parked my car, walked towards the door and noticed an amazing technicolor dreamcoat colored cat chilling underneath an SUV at the far end of a parking lot that can maybe fit 6 cars across. Cat didn't look nervous or out of place, but still, as I walked to the coolers full of beer I asked myself, "WWT&ORK4D" and while I briefly mulled over their answer of "Bringing the cat home in the front seat, knighting him, writing him into my will and building him an addition to my home", I opted for a slightly more conservative approach and asked the check-out gal if she knew that there was a cat sitting underneath an SUV in her parking lot. She laughed and said "Yup, that's Chester. He's kind of the store cat. Not sure where he lives, but he just hangs out most days, watching the customers go in and out".
So....my conscience is clean. Chester smirked at me when I exited.
Classic Chester.BTW: T would not even consider bringing home another cat. I'm lousy with pets.I asked myself, "WWT&ORK4D"
The doctor asked if the pain was manageable. I said yes. Stupid rookie mistake telling the truth there.from watching my wife go through them, shingles suck.
silver lining... pain.
Is there a reputable profession with a higher average offdee rating than pharmaceutical reps? Not counting those that are by definition based on beauty.I think your last statement disqualifies pharmaceutical repsDisco Stu said:The doctor asked if the pain was manageable. I said yes. I used to deal with pharma reps when I worked in restaurants. My wife did the same. I don't think I've ever seen an unattractive female pharm rep.I wonder if pharmaceutical companies don't figure this in, but I agree - I've spent more time in med facilities over the last few years than I'd wish even on my horrible-drafting co-owners in GMTANFF, but almost every female pill saleslady has been at least attractive and many have been stunning.Yeah, I was trying to figure out how to word that. The pharma jobs are really hard to get. You to have to be attractive, but also have to have graduated college (maybe obvious to this conversation, but maybe not), and the interview process is tough. There are plenty of hot smart girls who want to make 6 figures w/in a few years of graduating collegeI wonder if pharmaceutical companies don't figure this in, but I agree - I've spent more time in med facilities over the last few years than I'd wish even on my horrible-drafting co-owners in GMTANFF, but almost every female pill saleslady has been at least attractive and many have been stunning.Yeah, I was trying to figure out how to word that. Oddly enough, the construction industry - maybe the slowest to adapt to anything new since Lincoln was shot - has employed attractive young females to sell stuff like reporting services and safety supplies since at least the 80s. Not hiring Hooter-ish girls to (wo)man a booth at a trade show (our company did that in the late 80s), but as real, live humans who are good at their jobs. And are hot.

There's an app called IdealSeat with heat maps but the parks are limited.Guster said:I'm sure someone has run the frequency stats of where foul balls have landed in each stadium. Would be interesting to see where to buy tickets to up your chances of getting a foul ball
And a propensity for blowing MDsA doc I used to work for told me the pharma companies specifically look for former college cheerleaders. Usually a solid demographic for hotness...and enthusiasm.

There is some worthwhile discussion to be had in threads other than the GMTAN, it's just very hard to find amid all the crap.I am beginning to see a pattern in my FFA life.
Most of the year I come and go in this thread only. Sometimes I'm regular, sometimes I'm sporadic. But its always a warm place to come and visit friends, as they mercilessly give one another ####. Its a great community I'm proud to be a part of.
But a couple times a year (during baseball or football fantasy drafts) I wander outside this thread and somehow end up in threads here that eat a bit of my soul. I get sucked in thinking there may be some discussion on the current events presented, but it always devolves into mean-spirited chest thumping and vitriol. How can people I associate with be so demeaning, ill-informed and petty?. Every time I try to get out, they pull me back in. STELLA!
Typically I'll disappear a month or so to deal with the PTSD and then recollect that there is the refuge that is GMTAN and I should just stay there. Where its safe.
That's what sucks me in. There are a lot of unusually intelligent and insightful people who post here (even the ones I usually disagree with). But you go into the Ferguson Thread or Tanner's search thread and the stuff that spews forth is unreal. Of course I would not have to block but 3-4 more people (j_mx is currently the only one) and it would be 98% removed. There is some worthwhile discussion to be had in threads other than the GMTAN, it's just very hard to find amid all the crap.I am beginning to see a pattern in my FFA life.
