I had an ocular migraine last night. Neato. Couldn't really focus my eyes and saw flashing rainbow geometric shapes in my field of vision. Dr. Nympho confirmed I wasn't having a stroke or anything, and it went away after 20 minutes.

Apparently I can look forward to a cluster of real migraine headaches soon. So I have that going for me.

I had rabbit tonight for the first time. Pretty ####### outstanding.

Tried it again for the first time in about 25 years just last week. Was awesome this time. First time....not so much.

Quite certain it was all about the person preparing it knowing what they were doing this time.

I have had rabbit a few times and also loved it, but note that it's typically not available at anything less than fine dining establishments, which puzzles me since you would think a species like rabbit would be easier to obtain than an STD for a mid-30s, sexually active man living in the North East.

Seriously. 80% of restaurants should have this.

I think a lot of the time they do, but it's a little taboo so they don't come right out and put it on the menu.

So, you're saying when you order the veal you're really getting the cotton-tail? Sneaky.

I'd wager a lot of establishments don't carry it because, let's be honest, a rabbit is pretty much just a rat with a better publicist and a puffier tail. That won't stop me from ordering it again when I have the opportunity, of course.

Related: While I was waiting for that meal to be served I kept wanting to demand that the cook bring me my hasenpfeffer.(don't ask me about the Men With Out Hats sample. I have no idea.)

Ah, good old classic migraine. I get those if I'm not sleeping well, under heavy stress or not eating right (especially skipping meals). Finals time always sucked in school, and nowadays being in trial can cause them.

Being dehydrated also contributes, and that's often associated with drinking alcohol so keep that in mind if you're having problems.

I don't have it that bad - if I pop ibuprofin when I start getting the visual effects it'll usually kill off the headache pretty much before it starts.

Some I get are smaller than depicted, others are larger. Some more or less maintain their size/shape; others evolve, usually getting bigger than smaller. There seems to be no pattern to it.

Driving can be scary. It also makes reading impossible.
