GM's thread about nothing (5 Viewers)

Another thing I just thought about, for a very beautiful scenery day, take the Mukilteo ferry to Whidbey Island and drive up to Deception pass. Park and walk over the bridge. Just stunning.
Ohhhh, actually I like this better. I know Drifter has recommended this in the past but we haven't been there yet.
Not that there's anything wrong with that but the hike at Ebey's Landing is pretty spectacular. No reason to go down and do the beach part. The part along with the ridge up and back is where the money's at.

I also suggested the French tapas (I know) place over there that I'd have to look up it's name to remember. Good food.
I searched "Deception" and found your prior posts on this matter, so I'll go with that. I don't think Colleen could handle the beach part. She's only 69 (teehee) and healthy but doesn't really work out or anything, so I think we need to take it easy.

What do you do?

I am thinking about retiring at the end of the year. Need a new career though. So far I have:

- Relief Pitcher

- Baby Sitter

Anyone?
Engineer/program manager - mainly involves giving bad news to customers and then putting other people on the spot to answer questions or so reports"So it looks like that test failed...hey Bill, can you give some details about that"

"Hmmm...you want that report tomorrow morning? I dunno Bob, what do you think?"

Edit: basically I'm the first one customers complain to, yet I have to rely on other people to do everything, so I have to bust all of my co-workers balls all of the time

I'd say 90% of the time it's smooth sailing, but once in while you get some ####ty projects/customers

Saw the monkey in a Pixies This Monkey's Gone to Heaven poster turn its head and stare at me when I was on acid when I was 18. Also I was driving in the snow (advanced) and all the snow looked like long tubes like I was going into hyper space aboard the millennium falcon. Good times.

Signed for Fanduel. Now what? Wait for the riches? Anybody doing this? Is this like the time I discovered the greatness of The Pixies 35 years after they recorded their first single?

This one time I did some drugs and some strange stuff happened.
What kind of drugs were you kids doing in the Civil War era?
I wasn't a kid during the Civil War era. I was born over 100 years after the Civil War ended.
Please, you know you and Oliver Cromwell got smashed on Laudenum weekly.Dammit- should have known any drug quips would be gone almost instantly, even an outdated narcotic like laudenum.

Oliver Cromwell died in 1658. I wasn't born for another 300+ years. Cromwell was a figure in the English Civil War...not the American Civil War which is what Limp Ditka is referring to.

I need a new job too. I'm thinking 3rd string QB in the NFL but I'll switch with GM.
