GM's thread about nothing (42 Viewers)

My neice's closest friend is Jim eno's daughter. So my brother and his wife are now in possession or two gold player super duper flux capacitor infused VIP weekend bracelets for acl this weekend.

:kicksrock:
I had some of those the first year. That sitting beside the stage and drinking free beer all weekend is totally overrated.

Lots of diversification in Fanduel lineups this week. Here are the % ownerships >10% in my Thursday leeg.

Dylan had a baseball game tonight and we went despite the lightening. I was surprised (####### wasn't) that the umps never got a call from the cocksucking mother####er running the show to call the game. Again. I waited for half an inning thinking someone would call or come to their senses but no. So I told Dylan to grab his stuff, it wasn't safe. Told the coach, my GB, and a couple other parents sitting by us. GB tells the umps nobody on his team is playing. Other team's coaches are furious because they couldn't see what the big deal was.

Guess I'll be calling City Hall tomorrow. I hate people.
I totally understand this, and you should call.
I decided to pay him a visit instead of calling. I tend to get my point across better in person. Guy was a total bag of ##### stating all of the decisions were made by the BOD. I told him to give me the name and number of the board head. He refused.I anticipated something like this happening considering what kind of nitwits would have a bunch of kids playing baseball while there was lightning and thunder so I informed him I already filed an incident report with the police. That got his attention. So now I'm waiting for someone from the BOD to call. :coffee:
Had the same thing happen last night Bob. My son played at 6 so we missed the worst of the stuf. There were lightning flashes everywhere though. Idiot me did not say anything though. Just kept waiting for the teen age umps to send us to our cars for the mandatory 15 minute wait and then call it.

Now to add some funny. My 8 year old is writing in a journal. His first entry was 2 columns - friends and crush with one name in each column. Crush is some girl in his class. Tonight, his second entry is I want to have sex with "little girls name." Ugh...had to have a talk about that to see if he really understood what sex is. He doesn't of course but still. Part of me was like yeah and the other part was like uh oh.

I really can't believe the macho bull#### I see from most of these teams. WTMF, MLB wouldn't play under those conditions. Idiots.

YSR, you didn't mention anything. Maybe the diaper bag? You told Romo to change one of the kids.
I had to take matters into my own hands one time. it had gotten so dark that you could barely see. Parents were calling for the game to be called but the umpire would not budge. My daughter was on the mound and a girl hit a screaming line shot up the middle right at her face.

she caught it, but that was it. I jumped up out of the stands and I yelled, "That's it this game is over!"

Just then a voice behind me said " I got this" It was the head of the umpires. She had just gotten to the game. She took the umpire aside and gave him some hell for letting the game go so long as dark as it was. It wasn't a teenager either, it was a parent who thought this was the major leagues. Idiot.
I hear you

Nice to see you around GB. Have you moved yet? It would be nice to have a beer before you do.

Don't feel like an idiot, it was tough to finally say something. Yeah that sounds self serving but it isn't. All of the peer pressure of the coaches and other parents, nobody wanted to be the first person to say something. I hesitated because it's my GB's team, an old football buddy, and I didn't want to step on his toes. Plus I do nothing in regards to helping coach. I'm not as good of a man as GM, Bentley and others. It was amazing to see the psychology, herd mentality, at work though.

As for your son....CONGRATS ON YOUR SON NOT BEING GAY!!! /gm

she used two fingers?
And she's an optometrist.
:lmao:

Unrelated to the story when I was in the waiting room I feel a tap on my left shoulder and this guy sits down to my right. It's my cousin and he has a broken hand and his other one is messed up pretty badly. His face looked untouched and he wanted to talk to me about quitting smoking. Funny.

Hold on

K4, Arun's is still open according to the Internet.
Really? Why did I think it closed? Could have sworn I read it did, sometime after we moved. Maybe I'm mixing it up with Hot Doug's. ;)

Guster, given that Arun's is still open, that would be my top choice for great Thai. I think Tank is the best Vietnamese, as Rude suggested, but it just depends on how romantic an experience they want. It's big and very brightly lit and you usually have to share a table with others. Arun's is an incredibly special experience; they used to have a 12-course tasting menu, but given I thought it was closed I don't know if they still do.

My doctor wasn't in so I was told a nurse practitioner was going to see me. Whatever. This gal walks in and is seriously cute. Almost hot, but really cute. The fact that she is smart made her very hot to me. She introduced herself be her first name and gave me that limp girl handshake which I thought was different. Usually they'll say "hi I'm Nurse Practioner Squirrelface". So we're talking about why I'm there and I'm cracking jokes, because that's what most of the guys in this thread would do with a cute chick, and she's laughing. Still, whatever. I'm laying on the exam table and I have to be honest, my mind is wandering a little bit, because I didn't untuck my shirt. So she asks me if she can, I apologize, and lift it up. She's feeling around and tells me everything feels good. As she kept her hands on my chest. Then she kept talking and I didn't hear much, all I could think about was how soft and different her hands felt.

She finally goes back to the computer and starts typing stuff in. I tell her the issue it that I'm probably just really stressed out and need to relieve it. (No whatever now, no shame). She laughs and gives me a smile. We're all done so I open the door for her so we can both leave. She turns her head, brushes her long brunette hair over her shoulder, smiles, and says "I really wish I could have cured you, you have beautiful eyes".

I will make a concerted effort to not be a hermit for a visit to AO if some momentum gets going. No promises, just a concerted effort.

Speaking of which, what's the OB/GYN say about how your head is healing up?
She said based on my waist line and how much my vag was dilated, I'm pregnant.

In between the athletic commission guy and the doctor I had lunch at a fancy country club with the CEO of an important client. It has been a weird day.
So you and another dude ate lunch between two other guys? Not jealous.
There were posts that clarifies these things, jackhole.
Hi, I'm Doug and when I "Hi happy people!!!" it's assumed I just jumped in and didn't do the reading assigned to everyone else.

I haven't been back to north Texas to see the family in months, but of course we have a trip planned from the 24th to the 26th. Would love to meet downtown for drinks on that Thursday.

We had a kid killed here recently on a field from a bolt out of a storm that was miles away. The alarms hadn't even gone off because nobody thought it was a threat at all. I'm the most laid back guy in the history of ever, but I would have raised some serious #### in your situation. Good call. Kids' safety is way more important than bull#### youth sports.
