So my whiz-bang camera system that I bought after suspected thefts that were actually just my idiocy actually paid off yesterday! Caught on camera was one of the local homeless gentlemen pilfering my hard-earned Amazon loot. He literally pushes a shopping cart around with the stuff he steals and has been arrested a bunch of times for it and is a known crack-head. I went scouring the neighborhood for him but (probably luckily for me) didn't find him. Ended up calling the cops and filing a report.

His total haul: 1 X 3lb. bag of Blood Meal valued at $7.48 plus 1 X 3lb. bag of Bone Meal valued at $7.29

I felt bad about wasting the cops' time over $15 but it's the ####### principle of the matter, man.

I must have seen Cheap Trick seven or eight times when I was in the Army. Seems like every 4th of July or Veterans' Day they would put on a free concert on base for us soldiers.BB King came to Hungary and played for us, as did Hootie & The Blowfish back when they were still near their prime fame days (sometime in '96/'97).

I took my dog to the vet today because I don't have anything else to do and Mrs. SLB couldn't do it yesterday because she was working. I'm just kidding, she wasn't working. It sort of worked out though because the vet buys stuff from me and I had a Christmas present for him. Everybody is happy to see a sales person, with food. I weighed the dog, 52 pounds, and they directed me to room 4. It was his actual nail that was all busted up and still pretty sore. Dr. Jones said he didn't think it was too big of a deal but needed to take the dog in the back room, trim it up and shave it back or else it could get infected. Cool. So he and the dog leave and I proceed to check my e-mails. They return 10 minutes later and Dr. Jones says "everything was going well but he must have been pretty scared because he pooped and peed all over me. I mean poop was shooting out of his butt like a fountain!". FML

Then I had an appointment with another doctor, a specialist, about the problem I've been having in my chest since June. I don't think I've posted much but I had a CT scan, an upper scope and a colonoscopy and all looked good. It took Mrs. SLB to diagnose it as a hernia caused by scar tissue when I had my gall bladder removed years ago. I didn't tell the doctor my wife's diagnosis (she knows him *gulp*, *gulp*) but he checked me out and put his hand right where I've been having pain. Yep I have an umbilical port hernia. At least I hope that's all it is. Then the doctor asked where I had my gall bladder removed because " the incision is 3x as long as it should be and vertical instead of horizontal. The surgeon must have been drunk when he performed it". I'm having surgery on 12/29 to repair it. FML

My dad is having double hernia surgery on 12/31....he thinks that one, maybe even both occurred when he sneezed a few months ago. He has an umbilical hernia and i don't remember the other...it's all good. hell he survived prostate cancer and having his prostate removed, this will be nothing for him...or you
