GM's thread about nothing (17 Viewers)

I gave a high level overview of "Boyhood" to Romo and he seems to think he will have a hard time watching it.

Bracing myself for reveals.

At some point I put Drops of Jupiter on my running playlist for an unknown reason. Came on while I was on my long run yesterday. I may need to ban myself from the thread.

I rarely have time for movies these days, but I'm most intrigued by Birdman. I've always been a big Michael Keaton fan. I hope it's as good as Gung Ho.

Probably between "this is how you remind me" and "semi charmed life," right?

Mr. krista watched it and said it was fantastic. I need to see it, too.

YSR, I didn't understand your post re Boyhood.

No idea what this means.
Have you seen the movie?
I have. Still confused though.
I don't know. Maybe I'm waiting for him to reveal that his father did X, Y, and Z and that's why he is the way he is.
I know it's the step-dads in the movie but apparently RomoDad wasn't that great when he was growing up.

Can totally understand how people could interpret that from what you posted.

Did he indicate he'd have a hard time watching because of the stepdads? I assumed you meant a hard time because it's a long movie and there are no explosions, which is why many men wouldn't be interested.

There is a song about what a Fox says that my son puts on to torture his mom and me... assumed it was some kid's bop thing. No. An actual song.

That makes any song by Train, Mozart.

No. When I mentioned some of the scenes in Mason's development, he cringed. Apparently he had a pretty tough time with his dad when he was in that same age span. Sorry, really didn't mean this to be a thing, more of a springboard for any other guys who resonated with the movie.

YSR: I just misread you post. The way it sounded to me was that you told Romo what the movie was about (even though you hadn't seen it) and he was interested. I took the part about "reveals" as spoilers.

Tl;dr I can't read.

Sorry. Apparently my ability to express myself has atrophied along with my brain in general.*

*as evidenced by my recent Trivia Crack performances.

I'm kind of good at that game

Off to meet Edwina R Murrow for breakfast. I'm starting to get some clingy vibes from her but I don't know her well enough to be sure. If I'm reading the signals correctly, I'm going to have to cut her loose. I'm not programmed for a girlfriend right now.
You need a motorcycle

Made a new veggitarian red beans and rice recipe tonight and it was actually terrific. Lotta master ninja use in this one.
Can you post it?

I probably would make some changes. Definitely needs some bay leaves. And Worchestire Shire (sp?) sauce. I used beer instead of water. And cooking the onions without oil on the bottom of the pan first is just dumb. Might even think about chipotle in adobe. And I'll probably never do canned beans again, but hey man, it cut to cook time way way way down. This was ready in an hour. Usually a 3 hour cook for me doing conventionally.
Sounds veggiey.

And tedious.
