Google Chromecast (2 Viewers)

Hopefully helpful tips from a Beta Chromecaster:

#1 When setting it up, name it something other than chromecast. My kids call me Pap so I call it PapCast. I'm now legendary.

#2 HBOGO sucks, So does HBONow. Hardly a difference. HBO is too big for their britches without the infrastructure.I blamed My ISP and Chromecast until I switched between the two and thought maybe it really did take 1:45 of slo-mo action to cut off Ned Stark's head. Not so.

#3 Chromecast may not play AVIs and other choice formats> Download the VideoStream extension for Google Chrome app store and all will be right again.

#4 If your device won't chromecast, make sure you have or reload the actual chromecast app on it. Chrome doesn't. or didn't support it originally.

Works fine for me.

I had issues with HBO now as well. If you start a show and watch it through, you're fine. You can pause and play and be fine - but if you try to go back 30 seconds, or pick a spot in the episode to start from you're in for a few minutes of waiting.

Oh. I cast HBOGO from my phone and it's pretty responsive. Not sure about HBOnow.
