Green Bay at Chicago (1 Viewer)

Not a new feeling as a Bears fan. Another year...another humiliating end to the season. I can't even be mad at the players. The franchise itself is a failure. Continually embarrassed by your rival. Pitiful. Just pitiful

Ill take it is all I can say.

Seeemed an odd game plan...but nice win.

Rodgers to Cobb is awesome.
Still trying to understand why the bears didn't have a safety back. Considering how bad the tackling was all game they should have a safety back in case a short pass breaks open.

Well in the end GB not going for 2 might have won them the game had they went for 2 and tied the game they would not have gone for it on 4th down late in the game and this game likely would went to overtime. Go figure eh ?

Nothing to write home about for either defense but this Bear "defense" is so pathetic to just give a free TD by quitting on a play in the first half and then let the Pack just march down the field to kill the clock and then allow Cobb to be as wide open as can be-- well that sums up 28 years of non-championship football. Congrats Pack good luck next week at home with SF...

LOL at everyone who thinks going for XP was a good idea...it is the 4th quarter folks you have no idea if you ever get another score. I can't believe people actually believe it I was better to be down 1 with no chance to tie.

If you miss 2 point conversion you at least know what you need to do the rest of the way and if you give up a TD your still down 8 and still need a 2 point conv.

So you think that is really better huh ? Wow...ok You rather be down 1 then hope for a tie because Chicago might score and get a 9 point lead ?

Really ?
Really. It was a good call with 11 minutes left

GB couldnt stop chicago... gb doesnt get the 2 pt If they marched down and scored a td it would be a nine point game. 2 scores. I wouldnt argue if they went for it but there is good reason on kicking xp... Dont act like its a bad call, it wasnt.
wow. just wow.

Guess what GB....you aint playing the Bears D next week
Guess what CHI, you ain't playing at all next week.
Getting a better draft pick than the Pack!
You've been getting better draft positions than the Pack for like 27 years now. When is it going to pay off?
This sums it so well. Here lies the difference. Blown 1st rounders and bad drafts for years. The Bears act like they hit gold when 1 or 2 players emerge every other year and then they are left to pay dearly in free agancy when the gaps are so bad that they have to do something to avoid that small margin of what the upper stooges deem as being a successful season - anything close to .500 and the "promise" of next year. As long as they win enough to keep the gravy train of sell outs and ability to milk the tradition of being the Chicago Bears.

Kind of curious to think about what the Pack fans think of next week's game. I would think with Clay back in the fold and some terrible weather would be a spring board to a win and if I am not mistaken, this is a revenge game...

Matthews won't be back. He had surgery early last week.

Very entertaining game. A couple things that I hope MM straightens out for next week...

1) Run the ball up the guards instead of outside with Lacy. Also, use the I formation.

2) Have Mathsay kick off. I am tired of seeing Crosby's weak winter leg.

3) Blitz heavy. The defense is going to give up drives and points, at least try and get sacks and turnovers.

4) If you throw on first down and it's 2nd and 10, you don't have to automatically run on 2nd.

I know common sense. Who would of thunk it. Arm chair coaches who have little instinct and even less knowledge.

Wow is right.

There's no team I'd rather be playing at Lambeau this weekend. Love it - excited already.

They were using Crosby because they wanted to kick "directionally" away from Hester.

Doesn't make sense but that's what they were doing. I don't understand why don't use Masthay and just kick it into the parking lot.

I agree. As a Packer fan San Fran is the last team I wanted to see heading up to Lambeau this weekend.

I'm just glad we got into the playoffs. I don't mind that it's SF.

We come out of this pretty good either way:

- if we lose then we won't be surprised because the expectation was that SF was going to win anyways. Meh.

- if we win, then we get our revenge on SF who has owned us the last few years and we get the glory of defeating one of the best teams in the NFC.

I'm not interested in any of the other potential opponents. The 49ers are a tasty matchup for the Packers and their fans.

At Lambeau in January? Absolutely.

Seriously? I don't know anyone wanting to play the 49ers, definitely not anyone considering them a "tasty matchup". You guys have about a 1% chance. You of all people should know the Packers aren't anywhere near the level of the 49ers, Mr Pack. Come on! The Bears stink and the Pack aren't much better.

I think you guys are all delusional.

The Packers DEF is not anywhere near the level of the 49ers. I would say the Packer OFF is a much better unit than the SF OFF with Rodgers and Cobb back. SF hasn't been as sterling defensively as they started out earlier this year.

Come on Flap you should know that most Packer fans are delusional. I'm not I'm a realist and SF is much better on the line of scrimmage (both sides of the ball). Capers has proven to be very ineffective stopping the 49ers offense and with Clay and Jolly out I don't see that changing. Packers only chance is if Rodgers plays lights out. He's certainly capable of that but I'm not going to hold my breath. The 49ers are built for the cold weather as much as or moreso than the Packers.

This Pakers team is built more for the cold tham previous.

9ers are better, but having the home game is nice and the Packers offe should be able to keep the game within reach.

I dont think any are predicting some huge Packer win here.

As a rule, all fans are delusional to some extent. Are Packer fans more delusional? Perhaps, but we have better reason to be so. We have won 13 league championships, four super bowls, one with this coach/qb. We have the best qb in the nfl (argueably), and the offense overall is pretty good.

I expect the niners to beat the packers. Their D is far better than the packers d, and the Packers offense is not that much better than the niners offense. If Lacy was not hurt I would like the Packers chances more - game time temperature of 10 degrees and dropping, line them up and play football. But even with Lacy, I think the niners would win this game 7 of 10 times, perhaps 8, stictly on the defensive issues the Packers have.

But the Packers can win, and they have plenty of weapons to do so. So is it delusional? Well, our team has earned that right for us.
