Gronk, The Return to Greatness! (1 Viewer)

The previous Gronk forum is way too negative. It is roughly 35 pages of "when will he return? is his career over? will he ever fully heal? he doesn't hold a lot of value this year. etc, etc, etc"

It is time to leave that thread in the dust! We move forward with a positive thread about Gronk. Gronk negativity is unwelcome here!

I look forward to his triumphant return on Sunday. I expect he will be back to his old tricks:

1) Score TD in first half followed by super spike

2) Bang a random fan at halftime

3) Score TD in the second half followed by an even better super spike

I look forward to greatness.

A reminder for any of you who have bashed Gronk or don't own him below:

Don't own him this year, owned him plenty last year. Round 3-4 was too high for me knowing he'd miss about half the regular fantasy season. Took Witten/Gonzo when they fell to round 6 but otherwise I took the black uniform a bunch as the 15th TE off the board, it's working out so far.

Those who have Gronk will be rewarded heavily, hopefully the hole from zeros from a 3/4th rounder isn't too deep.

I've got him in both my leagues.. I've never owned Gronk before, so first timer very excited to see returns for my patience

LETS GO

:blackdot:

Today is like Christmas for Gronk owners... I will be bumping it every TD Gronk scores (SO EXPECT TO SEE IT OFTEN!) - My brothers in Gronk could care less about all of you haters!

I hope he does awesome... He has been a td machine scoring 38 in 43 games... Who has been that consistent? Even Jimmy Graham wasn't on his level. The only two ppr players from last year that were in his range were Calvin and Marshall with 330-350 fpoints... We know what Gronk can be, hopefully we see it shine Bright this week VS the Jets.

Ugh... this is the jinx thread that will be bumped Sunday afternoon. You ruined it!!
Don't worry, I am actually the anti-jinx... People have tried jinxing me many times with their "good win, you got this, your team is unstoppable" texts... I laugh them off, haven't worked yet :)

Destined for greatness this year! Every hater that wanders in here is the same person sending out offers of like Witten/McGahee for Gronk. They'll talk a ton of ####, but deep down they wish they had a healthy Gronk slotted in at TE.

I'll leave it alone for now, but will be bumping on Sunday...

I know all of the haters have this one bookmarked and are dying to bump, but unfortunately you will not have the opportunity as Gronk will be doing his thing!

I don't want to seem negative but read a little tidbit saying he is CLEARED but that doesn't necessarily mean he plays. I know this sounds crazy but I could see some late week drama tomorrow does he or doesn't he type of BS////// Let's just hope he plays and plays big.

Oh, you know when they see his awesomeness in person even the chick Jets fans will be wanting a good old fashioned, horse Gronking!

I have been playing in 2 keeper leagues for about 20 years. I own him in both. Obviously this has been a rough year but when he is going he is the player I have most enjoyed owning.

He's a monster, pure and simple. He plays with passion and recklessness and is incredible to watch and I don't care about losing value ever,

I want him on my team, for the ceiling and the fun! His spike "KABOOM!" is so much better than dunking or some dance! Its a spike! "KABOOM!"

With confidence? He will get redzone looks, and he might actually get a few! We all wish many guys would have just sat for 3 games rather than try and play for 8 (Roddy White?). Gronk took his time, I bet he takes over.

KABOOM!

Schefter already tweeted that Gronk would be going.

BusterTBronco that was awesome

i guess this isnt the place to get balanced analysis. will it be business as usual, will he need time to get up to speed, do you trade the potential, what can you get for him, etc. i was hoping to see these topics discussed in this thread

Answers to your questions:

1) yes, BAU... TB will be happy to see a familiar face, & by far the most talented of the bunch compared to last year when there was talent everywhere - Wes, AH, Lloyd

2) Practicing for the last month pays dividends here, so he should be up to speed.

3) I don't trade unless I'm getting huge value. Didn't sit on Gronk for the first 6 weeks to trade when it's finally time to get my ROI.

4) A lot!!! People have been inquiring with offers in my league, but I'm not parting ways with Gronk unless I get at least a RB1/WR2 combo. I've got Julius so everyone's situation is obviously different.

He will be injured again before week 12.
Sorry, didn't make this thread for the pacific northwesters to understand. I'll explain in your native tongue:You wonder away from Seahawks thread, bad! Rob Gronkowski good! Seahawks no win Superbowl, ImTheTherapist will console you.

I am in a league that doesn't give points for receiving yards or TDs but bonus points for pancake blocks on XPs. Will he be on the XP team by chance? I hope so...

This is very original, haven't seen anything resembling this comment ever before. To answer your question, he prob wont be of much help with your particular scoring system... However, I hope they don't change the rules to count 10 catches or 100 yds or even 3 TDs, bc you might get hurt when you play him if they counted such crazy odd scoring numbers in your league.

Good job I agree..

Welcome back, Gronk. Congrats to his owners, it's been a long wait.

But if this doesn't help Brady....
yes hopefully he can catapult some teams in need of a spark in a big way. 1-5 and he is one of my big hopes for my team. I need Concept coop numbers and im Gravy. ;)

I think Gronk's return to the lineup will pay dividends for Brady, and every RB and WR. He will likely return to being a nightmare matchup for D coordinators - so my advice is to go and target the other Pats (i.e. Ridley) in a trade while you can.
