If she puts the poison in the carafe, it would risk killing her granddaughter. And, when Tyrion fills the chalice, he get the wine from in front of Cersei - so from a filming sequence, I dont see how Olenna could have put the poison in the wine without someone seeing it.

Oh I get your/their point well enough (my prior knowledge of the books determines my sleuthing and thus spoils the pristine Eden you've formed for yourself in TVland). I still think it's hilarious though, that what I said is still debated, tat what I said is still confined to the TV shows, that, conversely, you still don't get it either.

Just rewatched the Bran dream sequence. Some interesting things -

1. A crow flying through the Stark crypts at Winterfell.

2. His father honing his sword (from season one, by Winterfell's godtree)

3. His father staring at a burst of fire.

4. The flight of crows through the woods is either outside Craster's place or the Fist of First Men. You can see fortifications of wooden stakes just to the right.

5. The Iron Throne room empty, covered in snow, being snowed on.

6. A white walker staring at someone through a sheet of ice. (The Wall?)

Not sure what that all means. Is it some of this a warning or prophecy or a seeing of future events (i.e. the throne room)? Martin wrote the episode and this contact with the godtree takes the place of ColdHands. Bran doesn't learn to use the godtrees until meeting the green seer. But here he does. Does it follow the same mechanism then, i.e. he's tapping into a primeval network unchained from time, so he can see the past, present, and future as witness by the faces in the trees? Does that make the throne room scene real? How would a godtree see that though? King's Landings' godswood is nowhere near the throne room. So is it a warning of what could happen if Bran doesn't find the seer?

Margery puts it back on their table, not the tyrell's table, and there are two guards standing behind Joffrey's table.

Given the scene it's either Margery or Olenna. They're closest to the cup at its last resting place before the last pour. More likely Margery, as the cup was in front of her place setting on her table - I don't think Olenna could get to it without anyone noticing. It seems Margery is the only one who handles it between Joffrey handing it to her and Tyrion picking it up the last time. Also notice Margery motions Tyrion right to the cup so he doesn't pick up the wrong one by mistake. I figure Olenna grabbed a gem off Sansa's necklace, gave it over to Margery and Margery applied the poison.

There's another option - the fork with which she fed the piece of pie to him. I don't think it was the piece of pie itself as she didn't have enough time to doctor it.

Fake - but that is really just a guess. There is a fair amount of evidence for either side. The strongest for him being the real deal is Varys' discussion with Kevan as he is dying. As for fake, the House of the Undying, Quaithe, and Moquorro's visions/prophecies.

1) We know the infant that was given to Robert was horribly mutilated. Ned doesn't seem to even want to think about it.

2) Jon Connington - who we know is real - seems to believe that Aegon is the real deal. He may/may not have seen Aegon as a baby but we can assume that Aegon looks enough like a Targaryen to be convincing.

3) Varys seems to let a dying Kevan believe that Aegon is real. The caveat here (IIRC) is that Martin may be being clever and switching back and forth between internal dialogue and spoken dialogue so that it seems Varys is confirming something he really isn't.

4) We know that there is a mummer's dragon. Some people interpret this as a fake dragon - when it may just mean that it is a dragon that is a puppet (which would fit Aegon) . Daenerys is definitely doing her own thing - she is pulling her own strings. The same could not be said for Aegon. It could be the mummer = Varys. So the vision is just Varys' dragon.

5) The dragon has 3 heads - and we really only know of two of Targaryen blood (Dany and presumably Jon Snow) - if we need a literal Targ then he seems to be the only option at the moment.

The girl's face was clearly identified when laid before Robert. The boy's face was all mangled and destroyed, leaving his identity in question, though Robert never seemed to question it since his mother and sister were dead beside him. That's why the Imp seems to believe that Aegon is legit. I believe he even admits that he always wondered if it was a trick, that his father (or the Mountain) couldn't find the boy so he snatched another kid and mangled the face.

I watched the poisoning scene right before last night's episode and it did seem rather obvious that Oleana took the stone and "clinked" it as she was walking by where Cersei was sitting.

I think she dropped it right in the wine carafe, based on where she was standing when the CLINK was heard. Keep in mind that Tyrion pours Joffrey wine from that very same carafe.

Not sure how you left out shadow of a dragon in flight over the Red Keep from your list. Seemed to be the most important one imo.

Pretty much all of this is true. The glass candles are burning. People are sick with the pale mare thing. The Kraken is about to reach Mereen w/ the horn. The dark flame is probably his red priest dude who I think is black (going from memory). Sun's sun is the guy who got toasted by Drogon. The lion is Tyrion, the Griffin is Connington. The Mummer's Dragon is Aegon (since Varys is the mummer).

I'm not sure who the perfumed seneschal is though. Illyrio?

Remember the undying is in reference to that vision prophecy:

The warlock Pyat Pree persuades Daenerys Targaryen to seek answers in the House of the Undying. Inside, she passes through many rooms containing visions before she reaches the chamber of the Undying.[2]

1. A beautiful, naked woman being ravished by four of the dwarves who serve the house.

Upon reaching the chamber of the Undying, Daenerys is spoken to in a barely perceptible whisper. The Undying call her "mother of dragons" and "child of three" and tell her some prophesies, saying "three fires must you light... one for life and one for death and one to love... three mounts must you ride... one to bed and one to dread and one to love... three treasons will you know... once for blood and once for gold and once for love..."

The Undying show Daenerys many more visions before attacking her and being slain by Drogon[2]:

1. Viserys Targaryen's gruesome death.
2. A tall lord with copper-skin and silver-gold hair beneath a banner of a fiery stallion, with a burning city in the background (this may be a glimpse at what Rhaego's future would have been).
3. A dying prince (likely Rhaegar Targaryen) mutters a woman's name with his last breath, rubies flying from his chest.
4. A blue-eyed king who casts no shadow raises a red sword in his hand.
5. A cloth dragon sways on poles amidst a cheering crowd.
6. A great stone beast takes wing from a smoking tower, breathing shadows.
7. Daenerys's silver trots through grass to a darkling stream under a sea of stars.

I was doubtful, but it does sound like there is something there (right at 3:33). You can also clearly see where she pulls the stone from Sansa's necklace.

She picks the stone off Sansa at 2:58. The clink, along with what looks Oleanna dropping the stone into something, takes place at 3:33 right in front of Margaery, who looked pre-occupied with the musical act.

The necklace wound up on the boat with Sir Dontas, assuming he will be found with the necklace. That should beat it over the heads of the non book readers. In the books he was tossed overboard IIRC.

When little finger broke the necklace didn't it look like all the stones where there?

That's the only thing....

If all the stones were there.....Littlefinger breaks one, tosses it in the boat. It's assumed that Dontos will be found in the boat with the necklace missing one stone. If the necklace is tested.....it'll probably be confirmed that it was poisoned and that Sansa was to blame. L-Finger is setting Sansa up.....but at the same time, if all the stones are there (which they must have been if he took one)......then who and how was Joffery posioned?

I actually think his character is getting worse with that too. Starting when he gave Cersi #### when talking about what Ned was looking for.

This would be a fairly major departure from the book, where the boat is burned with Dontos' body in it, and, IIRC, the last we hear of the hairnet/necklace, Sansa sticks it in her pocket,

He is getting worse. Last night was almost comical with the hyper dramatic close talking.

The "wait a minute, I can borrow money from a bank but wouldn't have remembered that without starting to read this story" scene was silly. Maybe I'm just forgetting - did it go down that way in the actual book?

With Davos, no this wasnt according to the book IIRC. In the books, he's learning to read and comes accross a letter from the Watch requesting assistance...he then brings it to Stannis who ends up at the Wall. I dont think the Iron Bank thing was in the book. I could be wrong though.

Yep. Another incident showing just how inept Cersei is. The one thing the Lannisters have that gives them a leg up over every one else in the war is their wealth. Well, now Stannis will have the richest organization in the world backing him as a direct result of Cersei's stupidity.

Agreed. I don't know if it was just a ham handed interpretation of that scene in the books or some weird twist they added. It didn't make much sense to me.There was way too much screen time dedicated to that Sam & Gilly story line.

There was a stone missing. Oleana took one (see the video scene where she is holding the necklace and saying it's horrible to kill men at a wedding, the top right one is missing after that). Littlefinger crushed another one (now 1 missing, 1 crushed) and threw it back on Dontos. I assume his body with the necklace will be found, others will know he was sweet on Sansa (plus it's her necklace) and so it will be blindingly obvious that Sansa (and Tyrion) are setup to take the fall for Littlefinger's and Oleana's ploy.

What I don't remember from the books is the reason for Oleana being willing to take out Joffrey now (as opposed to after his line is established through Margery). Just cause he was a horrible person/king/husband/etc? Hoping her grand-daughter will just automatically be wed to Tommen who seems much better? Afraid for Margery's life with Joffrey? Only valid opportunity?
