Head Coach Aaron Glenn, NY Jets - Damn Sure Needs A Thread - 10/19/25 (1 Viewer)

So you guys might have heard I'm a Jets fan and I'm not sure where to start this but I'm certainly going to start something and then claim a few spaces here.

But let's begin with our coach as we found him on 10/12/25 of this month, after a debacle unlike any game I've ever seen before. I will admit this jumps right in, and maybe tonight I'll really tell the story up to now and settle it all down. But anyway . . .

This happened at this week's conference regarding the Denver game. The evidence keeps mounting daily, and it's never in favor of Glenn being capable of doing this job. Like, this specific one. The head coach of the Jets. In the NFL. Where you can be a leader of men who play pro football, for sure, but part of leading those men effectively means knowing some basic stuff and having some basic skills to help you out. I was going to say a bunch of stuff, but you can't say anything for certain because the reporters who think they're vetting him or getting information out there are assuming way too much or are afraid to just ask the question everybody now wants to hear.

These reporters are gutless or stupid.

Reporter: "Where was the line for the field goal there, AG?"

AG: "Well, 35 for us. Yeah, 35. I mean, I know our guy, he he kicked a 60 uh 58 yard. That's that was his career long. So, man, if we can get to the 35, we felt like we were really good in that situation."

Reporter: "Was there any consideration there on where you guys were? or I think it would have been the 44."

AG: "Yeah, that's that's that's tough. Again, we just said his line was 35 and we're talking about nine yards back . . . "

Reporter: "but if his career long was was 58, which he did this year, 58 and I think we wa . . . "

AG: "58 and I think we was um I think was with the wind and all that. So, I just thought that was tough."

Here's the press conference right at the question for all of you. He's speaking about the end of the game and the question comes at 8:32.

I have Fields + Hall. As such, have done some research on Glenn. He seems egotistical. Clearly a rookie HC. He is being out played. BUT the team seems to be playing for him.

Jets fans deserve better. They need someone that can unlock this offense. I don’t want to hear about Fields this and Fields that. You unlock the players you have. Including Tyrod Taylor.

J - E - T - S ... JETS, JETS, JETS!

JETS fans deserve better on many levels with this team. Head Coach is certainly one of them.

How did it go so bad after the promising first game?! Are the Jets just recycling the game plan from the first game and defenses have it figured out?

Yeah. JETS fans need a new owner too.

Just threw Fields under the bus while defending Glenn.

What a tool.

Woody is generally ranked #32 of the 32 NFL owners. He deserves his own thread also and I just might get to it. He probably isn’t the worst owner in all of sports and there are some NFL owners that give him a run for his inherited money, but as far as broadly and omnipresently ****ty he’s number one and unparalleled.

Somehow he manages to cross the streams into the political realm and the society scene and of course, therefore, he even winds up at the doorstep and welcome mat that was Joseph Epstein and is Ghislaine Maxwell. Here you go

Did you already post a video with the end of the 1st Half in Week 6?

There is a little more to it than just those last few seconds. but it highlights what i think is one of the worst coaching moves ever, gutless or totally ignorant

Buddy, we are getting to it, but thank you for helping the thread along. Been a touch busy. Have waivers tonight so I like to spend a good chunk of time on them. They also had the full two minutes with the fake punt in there which is when I knew (well, got ironclad confirmation) that something was clearly wrong with our coach. Like jump out of your chair “what the ****” wrong.

I'm going to say this, and it's with 53 years of following the Jets. As bad as Glenn has been (and it's been god awful), the last couple weeks I notice myself being pleasantly surprised by:

a) The defense coming around
b) Glenn's comments being consistent about the team being on board and knowing this is a long process and,
c) No real whining or dissention from the players. I want to think they actually trust what's going on?

Yes, Breece Hall has whined but that's all about him getting paid and this contract being his one big payday chance. Is it impossible to think that maybe they could slowly turn this thing around and build a solid future base and different culture?

One of the things that I thought was really odd is that Glenn hired a very experienced and successful defensive coordinator and he hired a rookie offensive coordinator. That made no sense to me at the time and I think we're now seeing the results of that on the field.

Fields was out there answering questions for the media today. What kind of incompetence is this??
One day after the owner threw him under the bus. Glenn is just plain stupid.

Glenn has been calling G. Wilson day to day and he hasn't practiced the past two weeks.
This turd of a HC is 0-7, still thinks playing with the media is a thing.
Ignorant dumb ***.

Glenn does seem overmatched as the HC, also the guy who replaced AG in Detroit is getting major kudos.
Maybe he is but they said the same thing about Dan Campbell.

Ugh. Do you need me to fetch the clip of the two minutes before the halftime in Denver?

Or would you like to hear him talk about the line to make for the field goal at the end of that game?

Or would you like him to discuss and say how if he could do it again he'd throw the Hail Mary, only when he had a chance the exact next week he did the same thing?

Should I get you the clip of him comparing Justin Fields's time to throw the football to Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen?

Just because an apple falls from a tree doesn't mean it has the qualities of the tree.
