He was just dropped in our league. Does anyone know when he will return or how severe his knee injury is? He's a tackling machine and I would love to have him. I will answer yours!

Week 4 Official Injury Report

Carolina Panthers

QUESTIONABLE CB Ken Lucas (shoulder); DE Kemp Rasmussen (knee); TE Mike Seidman (shoulder); DE Al Wallace (toe); LB Will Witherspoon (knee)
I think he was initially listed as Questionable last week then went to Out a couple days later.Anyone have the details of his injury? Is there a possibility he will move to Out again? Either way, I'd say check up on his status just before your lineups are locked.

I remember reading they were optimistic he would play last week, before ultimately deciding otherwise. Then I read his chances were better for playing this Monday night. The latest, from the Gaston Gazette (not sure if you need to subscribe) printed yesterday:

Witherspoon gets another opinion on his knee Outside linebacker Will Witherspoon missed practice on Wednesday while having a second opinion on the injured right knee that kept him out of the Miami game. As of last night, Panthers general manager Marty Hurney had not heard the doctor’s report, but coach John Fox said he expects Witherspoon will be back at practice today. “We think it’s something where he’ll be out here (tomorrow),” Fox said. “We’re just taking an extra precaution.” Witherspoon said last week he had a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) sprain, an injury similar to what he had in his other knee the previous year. The LCL is the ligament that attaches the femoral condyle to the fibula head and provides stability to the knee.
