Goes from #1 to #3. Can't the brother get any love? I never wished one of my players would ever get suspended (or injured)...but dammit Larry Johnson, you're giving me an ulcer.

Can't seem to figure out LJ's ranking..
I can. Holmes is the #1 back in that offense who will see 20 to 25 carries per game. LJ will see 8-10 carries. What is there to figure out?

LOL what does "#1 back" really mean when one back gets a 1/3 of the carries? #1 back in this case doesn't really mean much if you think about it.

Guess you didn't watch last week's game sport. ;)
I watched it just fine, Chippy. Looks like you didn't. How many carries did LJ have, genius? He had NINE!!! How many did Holmes have? Try 22...It's not hard to figure out that opportunity = chances to score. LJ had a great week last week, but he still only got the ball 9 times. If he continues to get nine, he will not consistently put up points. Th ranking this week is more of a "wait and see". If he carries 9 times for 100 yards, then I will guarantee he will be bumped next week. FBG, like me, believe that Holmes is the starter that will the majority of the carries and will in turn have the most opportunity to put up more points.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

NOW I know why people rip on you, cause of your sparkling personality! That said, I think LJ will get more chances, he flat out looked better running the ball than Priest last week. Heck, Priest broke a long one and then pulled himself out of the game. HUH? First game of the season and you can't run another play after breaking a run? I'm pretty sure LJ won't get pulled in that situation.

Again, you may want to find a game tape of the KC/Jets game since you haven't seen it yet before babbling on the message board champ. ;)

Vermeil likes character guys, LJ is certainly NOT a character guy. That would preculde LJ from taking over by itself.

LJ is going to be the first back in history to average 10+ yards a carry. He's going to score 32 touchdowns too, minimum. He's just THAT good.

What you "think" and $1.99 will buy you a Frappachino....I like to deal in reality like 22 carries vs. 9 carries.

BTW, how many entire series did LJ carry the ball in? Ummm...let's see...oh yeah...ONE!! How many did Holmes get? Try the rest.

Dickie Vermeil has stated that he will spell Holmes to keep him healthy. I don't blame him for pulling Holmes after that run. You seem to glance over the fact that Holmes' run prior to the LJ 35 yard TD was also 35 yards.

Please never say that you deal in reality when clearly you do not. Where's the "two personality" smiley when I need it. This should do :hifive: Oh and the 411, when you post the OWNED smilie when you post something, that's like giving yourself a nickname = loser

I also think that starting LJ right now is a mistake in 2 rb leagues.Listen he's not going to run for 10 ypc all year. So lets say he runs for 5 ypc. He'd need double the carries to match last weeks prodution. He's not going to get 18 carries. He'll probably average 50 yds. How many TDs will you average on 10 carries? .4?

So those people starting him, tell us how many carries, yards and TDs will be have.

If you go over 15 carries, 5 ypc average, and .5 TDs, you're probably drunk.

In a BLOWOUT, Holmes still got 22 carries. That was an ideal situation for LJ to get 15-18 carries. But it never happened. Now if LJ gets 15 carries this week, okay we can re-visit this.

For those of you who watched KC last week. LJ looked like priest 3 years a go. He had a quickness about him that Priest just simply didnt have. Sorry Priest lovers, LJ is the better back.

None of that really matters. If he doesn't get the carries, he's not going to produce. Again, lets hear your projections.

LJ's projections for toofunny (AKA PRIEST-LUVER): 15 carries 140 yds3 catched for 40 yds and 3 TDs. Put it is the bank home-boy who drafted Holmes super early but is upset that most people got the better player in round 7.

*lol* Actually I didn't draft Holmes in any league, and I drafted LJ in EVERY league in the 5th round. I think he's going to be a monster late in the year.As to your projection, you're ######ed. 9.5 yds a carry? 3 tds on 15 carries? So every 5th carry, he takes it to the house. BHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA.

This is exactly why I wanted to see projections. You're projecting career type games. I'm sorry you don't run for 10 ypc all year long. 5 is an amazing average. And you project him to double that.

Good luck with that.

Aside from a basic "law of averages" argument, I find it interesting that people are certain LJ won't do this or won't do that. Are you guys watching the same runner I am? Reasonable expectations would say, "no, he won't go for 6+ ypc" or "no, he won't score 2 TDs a game". Problem is, since he started getting significant work last season, LJ has been NASTY just about every time he's touched the ball. Not just every game, but EVERY TIME HE'S TOUCHED THE BALL.As an added headscratcher, asnwer quickly: name one RB more likely to go the distance on any given play than LJ? Maybe Westbrook. MAybe LT. Other than that....:shrug:Colin
