How 'bout them Reds! (12 Viewers)

As long as the Reds dont get swept this weekend i think we will be sitting pretty.

Chapmania is upon us!!!!!

Cards already lost today, hopefully Cueto can pitch well tonight and we can get an 8 game lead!!!

Also Pujols went 0 for 4, so hopefully Votto can start hitting some bombs to get that Triple Crown!!

Mr. Know-It-All, the Reds (& Dusty) did NOT shuffle the rotation at all. Everyone has gone on normal rest. Only the Genius has been moving his rotation around for these two series. And 5 hits in 2 days? While I won't call St. Louis toast, they're awfully close.Oh and good luck w/ Chapman. :lmao:
The word on the street was that Dusty rearranged the rotation with Harang coming back. However, you are absolutely correct because Dusty isn't smart enough to use his pitchers correctly.

Even as a Brewer fan about to be swept I can say, Go REDS! I like the way this team plays and I hate the Cardinals.
I can understand the Cubs hating us because of the longstanding rivalry....but the Brewers?!? Shouldn't they hate everyone except the Pirates (who they might be able to finish ahead of in any given year). When was the last time the Brewers were relevant?About the only team I hate is the Cubs no matter how good or bad they are in a given year. You guys need to go back to the AL and resume rivalries with the White Sox or Twins. Nobody in the NL cares about you.

Just coming in to say I was dead wrong about the Reds... Good on those that supported and believed in them.

Hi shook!

Gotta love having an 8 game lead heading in to STL. The only other team we play that is over .500 is SD and they are slidding down just as fast as STL right now.

On behalf of all Reds fans, I'd just like to apologize for Timmy. His mom grounded him for 3 weeks for not taking out the trash and he has nothing better to do with his time. We appreciate the comments, KingPawn. Thanks.

Don't forget about the Rockies.

I throw my hat into this teams ring, and they take off!!!!!

Why does this not work for my Cubbies?

Eddie, what do you want my sig to read?

Not sure what street you heard that on, but Cueto wasn't facing the Cards regardless of what they did with Harang. They could've pitched Cueto Tuesday and Harang Wednesday, but it has nothing to do with this. He misses the Cards either way. Harang got called up to pitch Tuesday for postseason roster flexibility, not some Cueto conspiracy.

Probable Starters for the Cards Series:

Friday: Arroyo vs Garcia

Saturday: Wood vs Wainwright

Sunday: Bailey vs Carpenter

29 games to go....8 game lead.

It was probably St Louis media propaganda - but as I said I have nothing against the Reds in general and since we are out of it I wish them well. That offense is sick and I will have no problem seeing most of the Reds (except Phillips and Cueto) do well.

Pretty sure I'm heading to the Thursday game. Hopefully Edinson pitches tomorrow, that'll set him up to pitch on Thursday and he's 3-0 in games I've attended when he's pitched (two in FL, one in MLW) :coffee:

Curious why no one has brought up that the Reds have been playing 12 days with 3 healthy OF..and best Walt can do is Cairo in RF tonight? He should be embarrassed. And today, Heisey is scratched and they have to put Cairo out in RF. With expanded rosters and chaff like DRH still on the 40-man roster, this is beyond maddening, imo. :(

I'm a bit surprised they haven't tried getting Yonder out there either. I know he started off in Carolina this year playing in LF iirc.

Just make Chapman the closer and be done with it.
The way MLB managers use closers, he's worth more by not being a closer IMO.Bring him into whatever inning is most crucial based on who is coming up and let Cordero be the guy we "save" for the 9th.

Only 12,000 at the ballpark tonight to support the first place Reds?? What's that about Cincy?
I have been there as usual, but its mostly about 10 straight years of sucking.oh, and Monday night raw was packed next door. Last night was a little better.

Good to see Volquez pitching well the last few starts. Arroyo/Cueto/Volquez isn't as scary as Halladay/Hamels/Oswalt, but if they're on their game, that's a decent rotation.

Totally agree. And with Homer and Wood in the BP along with the backend of Rhodes, Chapman, Massett, & 'RollerCoaster' CoCo, I like their chances. Obviously, I'd MUCH rather not have to face the Phillies in the 1st round as I think they are going to the WS no matter what, but just getting to the postseason is a 'WIN' this season!

That is the chance of anyone but the Reds winning the division. With a good young foundation they could be around for awhile. The question is where do they play Alonso?

Hope you guys do well in the playoffs. Thank God it wasn't the Cubs.

Lots 'o Rumors that the Rockies have a serious hard-on for him and rightfully so. They (the Rockies) are a blackhole at 1B w/ (I'm sure they're hoping) Helton retiring and Giambi is a DH and a poor one at that. The thing is, they are going to have to give up something strong to get Alonso from the Reds. Should be a fun offseason!

But really concerned about how they're playing the last couple of weeks. This team is taking a lot of the joy of clinching, out. Please pull your collective heads outta your asses and get back to playing good ball, please?
