***Howard Stern*** (1 Viewer)

Yesterday, Howard said the Sony information breach is the same as the 9/11 attacks. The Daily News calls him on that and he gets all bent out of shape. I heard his comment yesterday and thought he was way out of line and am glad someone called him on it.
Yea, even Seth Rogan gave a little chuckle thinking Howard was make some weird joke. I thought it was extreme when I first heard it too.

Listening to Howard and Larry David from yesterday, just 5 minutes in I'm ready to turn it off because of Robin.

:wall:
I'm starting to get a little annoyed at Howard's interviews. Maybe all the praise is getting to his head. Sometimes he just doesn't let the guest finish a thought and you can tell he's not really listening because he's already asking another question. He used to be much more laid back and allowed a better back and forth flow. Now he's trying to cram in a million questions.

Howard always acted like he never watched Curb. Yet, he seemed to know all the references in the interview. The episode with the Palestinian woman for instance.

Just odd Howard couldn't admit his was a fan. He also downplays his Seinfeld knowledge.

I was rolling at the Bradley Cooper interview when they were going to talk to each other as elephant men. The lead up was funnier than the actual dialogue. They couldn't keep from laughing, and neither could I.

Howard has always shown his disdain towards watching any sitcoms. Too lowbrow humor for him or some such. Weirdly I have not watched more than a few random parts of that show and now feel like I have missed out on something great.

He read the notes provided by Will, he didn't go back to watch Curb.

Exactly. He does a ton of prep for these interviews, or rather, his staff does.

Sixty-One Years

It was January 12th in the 1950s

A time when music and radio where kind of nifty

At this time a stork delivered a boy named Stern

Whose name would change radio and make it diffy

As the years went by, his words would be heard by many radio bosses who would think his manner was iffy

Along came the FCC and would turn his life into turmoil in a jiffy

Alas, a satellite in the sky would make a venue where Stern could say ‘I’ve got a stiffy’

Today, sixty-one years later, the nifty, diffy, iffy, jiffy, stiffy Stern can say to them all ‘##### off!’

Look what I’ve done, look what I’ve earned - Happy Birthday Du!

Wrap-Up Show basically over. Just Jon Hein taking calls. No other cast members.

I'll usually listen to the first 45 minutes of the regular show. Then fast forward through the rest of the show stopping for segments/interviews I might find interesting. Usually will skip Robins' news.

I would then normally listen to the Wrap-Up Show because you often get good tidbits and they will point out anything interesting that I may have skipped and be worth going back for.

Nuking the wrap-up show will likely lead me to listen to more of the regular show. I'm guessing that's the point. Annoying though. Listening experience worse off.

I hate the wrap-up show. It's on every time I get in the car and I find it quite boring. I pay to hear Stern, not Jon Hein and whatever C-list celeb comes in that day.

Hope they nuke it to the moon.

I like the wrap-up show but some of the best staff revelations were being brought up on it. If it means more craziness on the real show, I'm all for nuking the WUS.

So now Howard is telling everyone to no longer dine at the Y because of the HPV virus. Of course he has no clue that people are now being vaccinated against this and it is no longer an issue for our youth.

What an absolute misery his life must be living in his plastic bubble.

Whatever happened to Howard tv? Did they dump that completely?
yes
Did that get the crew like Gange and DePace canned?
Yup. At the end of 2013.
No goodbyes, nothing.

Stern being the "First reality show" is such BS.

He skips and glosses over reality at his convenience.

After Stern went downhill around Artie's departure and the emergence Howard's absolute kissing a*s of any one from Hollywood, plus the NFL networks crazy amount of commercials....I cancelled Sirius.

The things I miss are odd:

-Ross Tucker's 6am show on NFL Net, and

-Dr Laura- never thought I'd miss that in a million years, but Ronnie the Limo Driver turned me on to her after he said she was good...it shocked me that he was right.

That's what I love about the show. If he's serious, what a horrible way to live. But I think it's a lot of shtick for the air. He doesn't care in own life since he's married. Just bringing up things to invite discussion.

I agree that there is a lot of shtick involved in many of his rants, but his disdain for pretty much most things that the staff does that the rest of the world would consider normal is beyond shtick, I think. But I could list a ton of things that he says and does that are just funny when looked at that it would make people wonder what type of fan I was to trash him like that.

I will just say that the way he talks about looks and age and how he couldn't imagine fooling around or being attracted to any woman of that manner and of course he has his younger model wife to go near his wrinkled old sack.

I was surprised when he said he's gone down on 50 women. I find that hard to believe but who knows what type of roll he went on between Allison and Beth. But there's a lot of freedom to be critical of things when you have someone like Beth to come home to. If she left him, his attitude would change again.

I really dont get the whole ranting and raving thing from supposed "former big fans" about what Stern has become. The guy is obviously wealthy beyond his wildest dreams, has an open door to the elite social circles from Hollywood to the Hamptons, and put his time in for decades in the pig pens that were/are terrestrial radio. Isn't this exactly what we're all taught to dream about? Work hard, put in your time, and eventually make it big? At which point you can live a lifestyle you always dreamed of, marry your money to her looks, and finally ease off the accelerator before diving headfirst into an early grave. I mean, at some point don't we all stop seeing the world for what it could be, and simply accept it for what it is?

It's just as the movie said. Those who don't like him listen to him more. You want Stern hate? Go to the message board dedicated to him. It's bizarre.

The whole wiping conversation was strangely fascinating.
I could be wrong but I think crumbling toilet paper into a ball and wiping is not common. Also seems like the messiest. Wrapping it into almost a napkin seems the way to go. And yes, you can fold the napkin and get another wipe in.

Wrapping the toilet paper around your hand is the pro-move. Then you can shimmy it around and take care of business without even having to fold.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Noine. I absolutely love any Sour shoes Gary impression because it almost always revolves around saying "noine" a lot.

it's definitely weird how much hate he gets from the people who listen to his show everyday. They are obviously entertained but get joy out of bashing everything about him. Very odd.

Of course he's different than he was 20-30 years ago.
