Huddle up, Peyton Owners. What's our plan? (1 Viewer)

At the last minute switched back from Foles to Peyton. Not good looks like I'm going to start 0-2 in two leagues.Whats really sad is this really reminds me of what Marino looked like his last season.

New offensive system with Peyton under center more. Horrible oline. And weakened arm strength. All that equals disaster. Last year he only had the poor arm strength.

Honestly, his arm strength doesn't look much worse than it was the last 2 years. The o-line looks shaky, the touch on his passes seems off, and he just looks uncomfortable running Kubiak's offense.

Watching, I'm not upset I benched him. If Hillman converts, his stat line still sucks with the one td. And on pace for 218yds for Peyton manning is not good

ya know this Kubiak offense is not a good fit for him

Kubiak you moron, your oline sucks, keep peyton in the shotgun. Enough with the bootlegs and rollouts too.

Peyton has no business being under center at all.

Cant believe that Kubiak thinks he knows better than Peyton.

I see a ray of hope, Manning owners. Kubiak seems to have figured out that he needs to run exclusive shotgun for Manning to have success.

Let's see if it continues...

I think Peyton told him at half, look I'm just going to audible out of everything if you don't change the play calling.

He's not an every week starter but I do think he has a nice stretch coming up against crappy teams. Could be a decent spot start.

Wish I started him today :(

Remember when everyone was saying that Payton manning was done? Yeah...me too! It was like...a few hours ago. Lol.

Led them to a win and very solid fantasy performance in the final, most important offensive drive.

Yeah, he's done guys. Go back to New England.

I wanted some OT stats from Peyton. 300 yards passing and 4 TDs on the road against a good D would have erased last week's stinker. Oh well, glad that it was a decent outing.

With the o-line doing the running game no favors, he has the potential to put up stats from the shotgun and that is what we care about in fantasy.

Having said that, beyond the stats, if you watch him throw, he struggles to throw the deep ball with accuracy, can't throw the ball midway down the field on a rope to stick in in there on a deep slant, and struggled mightily to throw to the right.

I don't have a horse in this race. Just calling it how I see it.

Was benching him for Carson Palmer a bad move?
No, but benching him for Alex Smith (which one owner in my league did) sure as heck was.

I own Peyton in another league, and never considered benching him, but I have to say that while the second half helped calm my nerves a bit, there were still way too many floaters, even on his completions.

Someone get the splits for Peyton between shotgun vs under center snaps. I predict they will be eye popping.

He faces like two decent defenses the rest of the season.

He's not done, but he can not make all of the throws an elite QB needs to make. He's a legend, and his smarts can still get the job done, but I'd sell if possible.

Yeah I'm about as big a Peyton fan as there is but his arm is so far behind his brain at this point I just can't see it ending well. Even on that last drive he missed some passes he would have easily hit in the past, and his ~15 yard in throws get about as high and floaty in the air as most other QB's throws do when they're heaving it 45 yards downfield. Even with a decent fantasy performance, he actually only averaged 5.6ypa tonight which is pretty bad.

Kind of reminds me of a fantasy RB that scores 18 points but did it with a line of 23-67-2.
