I am starting Mike Sims-Walker over ___________. (1 Viewer)

I got to pick two between AJ, BMarsh, and MSW.... I've read the Cincy thing also and am seriously considering benching AJ for the other 2. Of course, if AJ goes off, I'll probably just lose it completely. Depth is good, except when you have to make decisions with it.

Unless you think he is going to sleep with a hooker the night before the game again....i would love to hear who has him on their roster and is not starting him....you must have some hella good alternative choices....
I'm starting DeAngelo, LT, Bradhaw, Desean, Steve Smith(Car) and VJax. Between the hooker episode, MJD #####ing, and Holt facing old team toryline, hard to see him getting a lot... and I GUARANTEE he explodes!

Considering the train never left the station last week, I figured I'd jump on in for this week. I for one, do not know whether or not I will start him. But with Colston against the Giants, I am considering starting MSW in his place. I have a good WR corps, so I am not sure about the move, but it could be a GTD.What say you there, fuzzy-britches?
Decided to make it official - IN over Colston.

I think that's a good call...wish I had that option. I'll get to enjoy 3/40 out of Colston again.

I think it's the right call, too. I just always get a little squeamish when I bench a guy that is one of the best WRs and part of one of the best offenses in the league. Colston could just as easily put up great numbers this week. I have the good fortune of also having Jennings and Roddy White, so I feel like I can play the matchup here. Might be the wrong call, but I really like what I have seen from MSW.

I am inserting him in the line up next to A. Johnson, S. Smith NYG. Right now I am benching Bulreson for him, however I have a gut feeling I should be bencing S. Smith.

In one league I have Jennings, Colston, Marshall and Sims-Walker starting, STACKED! In another league I have Jennings, Andre Johnson, Sims-Walker, Steve Smith NYG and can only start 3, not sure I can fit him into that lineup, it is just too STACKED!

Here are the guys I am starting this week -

Sims-Walker

Welker

Edwards

on the bench -

Driver

DeSean Jackson

However, Sims Walker always starts for me - so I am not starting him over anybody. I am starting Edwards over Jackson.

oy earlier in the week i felt fine starting colston over sime-walker

now it's saturday night and i'm torn... both have 2 TD potential...

apparently MSW may still be in the doghouse, and he's a possible trade candidate?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...alker-could-be/
Whoooooooooooooooooole lot of conjecture and "maybe possiblys" in that article.
Exactly-to paraphrase the article:The Jags have been shopping Groves, who was in an automobile accident and missed last week's team flight as a result.

MSW, since he also got in trouble last week COULD be available.

Supposedly there are rumblings (although no source of these rumblings was mentioned) that he could be available.

The Ravens and Dolphins are mentioned as teams needing a WR, although they haven't spoken to the Jags about trading for him (the article says it is "unknown" as to whether they have contacted the Jags).

Finally, it COULD be that the Jags are willing to trade MSW if another team was willing to pay a premium (well, duh-if the Colts offered Peyton Manning for MSW, I'd be inclined to think they would accept that trade-but that doesn't mean they are trying to trade him).

BTW-due to the wind & rain in Foxboro, I'm now starting Sims-Walker over Welker.

Have him in over Boldin. Have A feeling I will regret it, but Anquan hasn't done much yet this year. As a Seattle homer it will be doubly painful if he finally has a big game.

I am starting MSW v. the Rams along with Steve Smith Carolina v. Bucs

instead of:

Bowe v. Skins,

Manningham v. Saints,

Breaston v. Seahawks.

Have to choose 3 of Roddy, Burlseon, Driver, Sims-Walker.

Probably going to bench Driver. Really not sure.

Hopefully Sims-Walker was able to keep it in his pants last night.

So why is MSW not getting the same type of love from FGB's? He's ranked 14th this week in our standard scoring league. Is it the Garrard factor that is pulling him down? The threat that MJD will take over the game?

The match-up is not as great as some people seem to believe. In my league, StL gives up the 17th most points to WRs. I'm sure my scoring is not identical to yours, but it's fairly standard scoring (non-PPR, BTW). StL gives up the 9th most points to RB, so that may explain why WRs haven't been as dominating against them. Also, you have the incident last week. Will Sims-Walker be affected by the benching? Will JDR play him less? Will the Jags play better, or have they "given up" on JDR? These questions can also help explain why MS-W isn't higher on the projections/rankings.

Ah, man. Never thought about him still being in the dog house. Any homers with insight - will JDR bench him to start? Will he receive the same amount of snaps as he did prior? F.

I'm starting MSW in a flex spot over:

Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell - they are playing a tough NYG and I'm not sure how Payton splits the carries....

With Wayne out I have him over Burleson and Bowe in my PPR league starting with Braylon and S. Smith (NYG). I'm still debating putting in one of the other two.

With the weather issues in New England, I may have to plug MSW in for Welker. Bowe and SSmith (NYG) are also in now...

Not a stretch for me starting MSW over Hester, Royal and Henderson.

In an 8 team leage, an active owner has MSW starting with Quan/Burleson on the bench.

Currently have MSW on the bench. Starting Ocho and B. Marshall over him. I'm sure I'll regret it, every choice I make bites me in the ###.

Starting MSW over Calvin in one league for the first time.

Benching MSW in favor of Desean Jackson and Housh in the other league.

As with a couple of others on here, I am torn between MSW and Burleson. I have Burleson in there now because of two factors:

1) Arizona is #31 ranked pass defense

2) I am already starting Garrard and want to spread out the risk

My other QB is Flacco, and if I flip him with Garrard, MSW will go into the starting lineup as well.

But, as it stands now, Garrard/ Burleson > Flacco/MSW, given today's matchups

Let's look at it this way. Week 1 he didn't start, got one target, they lost 14-12.Week 2 he had one catch and two targets until late in the 3rd quarter and they were down 31-3. They started throwing to him and they scored twice, losing 31-17.Week 3 he was the focal point of the passing game and they won 31-24.Week 4 he was again the focal point of the passing game and they won 37-17.Week 5 he was benched and they got shut out 41-0.It's obvious he's the difference between a dead offense and an alive offense. No way he gets less than 9 targets, and will probably get something like 12. Now playing the bad Rams' defense, I'm guessing something like 7-100-1 for 16 fantasy points (23 PPR).That's higher than Dodds' highest projected guy this week, Randy Moss. MSW starts against the Rams on all of my teams. The decision as to whether ____ starts over _____ concerns other WRs on my teams. MSW is simply a given.
:goodposting:

i'm not starting this dude again until i see proof positive he is playing
He's not on the inactive list. I'm not sure what else you can expect. It'd be nice to hear Jack Del Rio say he's out of the doghouse and he'll get his normal amount of snaps, but I doubt that's going to happen.

Week 5 he was benched and they got shut out 41-0.

5-82-0 for the 1st half. No TD yet, but a very nice half nonetheless.

Agreed. Wound up benching him for Colston. Toss up after a half.

Sims-Walker has a great matchup this week. Every #1 receiver has scored and racked up the yards against Tennessee, including 2 by Sims-Walker in week 4--unless you count Ward as Steelers #1, not Holmes--but Ward still caught 100+ yds. #1 receivers are averaging 111 yds and 1.7 TDs per game.

Andre Johnson, on the other hand, is playing against the Bills, who have looked very good vs. receivers. Moss did gain 148 yds, Steve Smith got 99 this last week, but they held Colston to 67. The other four games, they shut down the receivers big time--but they faced teams with poor receivers: Miami, Tampa Bay, and both the Browns and NYJets (without Cotchery) after the Edwards trade.

I hate to say it, but that's a tough call. Both have good chances of scoring multiple touchdowns. But I think that after the Bills have kept most receivers out of the endzone all year, Sims-Walker has a better shot. Right now, Sims-Walker is in my lineup over AJ.

Im starting him this week over Calvin Johnson and Ochocinco's bye week, alongside both Steve Smiths. If Calvin is healthy, I'll have a tough decision to make.

Yep, also have him in over Megatron. He's starting alongside Driver and Vincent Jackson. If Megatron plays, especially against St. Louis, I'm going to have a hard decision of which 1 not to play.

Since this is a decent spot to ask fellow MSW owners, would you start him over White, Jennings, Austin?

Leaning toward benching him for White and Austin. But I am really, really torn.
