I have never lost a singles cornhole game either. Pretty easy game if you ask me.
See you at the championships, i guess.I have never lost a singles cornhole game either. Pretty easy game if you ask me.
Hip will be sore tomorrow, that's for sure. Never intended to hop but it just helps to maintain perfect rhythm when throwing. The visual of his hopping technique is the best part of this whole thing
Maybe after nationals.Take this act on the road. It can be a modern day King and His Court.
I go full crow hop a la Raul Mondesi. The visual of his hopping technique is the best part of this whole thing
So does humming the macaraina.Hip will be sore tomorrow, that's for sure. Never intended to hop but it just helps to maintain perfect rhythm when throwing.
I doubt it but this pain today makes me wonder if i could handle a multi-day tournament. I have to look in to whether or not they have physios at nationals or if I need to bring a masseuse.I would probably kick your ### today
I'm in great shape. I run 3 miles a day. I'm just really sore in a specific spot in my left hip due to my delivery. You know you're in bad shape when you're sore the next day after a few rounds of cornhole.
Time to hit the gym WN!
maybe try a thigh masterI'm in great shape. I run 3 miles a day. I'm just really sore in a specific spot in my left hip due to my delivery.
Hilarious, man.I was reading up on cornhole and its history. Apparently there is an arc that can be repeated when you throw the bags that will yield a perfect throw every time.
They call it the Golden Plane.
Nothing official but I would estimate top 25.where are you ranked in the ACO?
Just sore from repetitive motion. Always winning means more playing.Trochanteric Bursitis? Probably get renamed "willie hip" or "cornhole hip." Man I can't play cornhole tonight my Willie Hip is acting up. Flare up of the Willie Hip
So you can pound your hip through 3 miles per day but you can throw a couple bags of rice without getting sore?I'm in great shape. I run 3 miles a day. I'm just really sore in a specific spot in my left hip due to my delivery.
Yes. What's difficult to understand? Go throw something underhanded while hopping and landing on your left foot 1000 times and see how if feels tomorrow. Completely different from running. So you can pound your hip through 3 miles per day but you can throw a couple bags of rice without getting sore?
Something's not adding up here my friend...Do you run or really Walk the 3 miles?

Adding distance to my throws had been discussed for our tournaments but we really didn't have the room to increase it. I'm not sure how it would affect my game either. I'd probably be open to it if they shut me down again.Looking at some of the ACO videos. 27 feet apart and nice level ground.
Way tooo easy.
The best time I ever had playing was about 50 feet apart and on 2 different tiers in a backyard about a 10 foot elevation change.
It's a different motion. C'mon guys.Maybe.
A normal running gait for an athlete is 180 turns per minute. So figure 90 per leg. If you run a 10:00/mile pace for 3 miles, that means you are running for 30 minutes. 90 turns per leg per minute times 30 minutes = 2700.
So if my math is correct (and my apologies if not), your running "should" prepare a guy to hop on one leg 1000 times. Because in a 3 mile run, you ARE somewhat hopping on each leg 2700 times per run.
Can we get some video? That would help us understand your unorthodox motion better I think. Sounds like you're putting tremendous torque on your poor hip, but I just can't visualize it.It's a different motion. C'mon guys.
Stand on your left leg, hop straight up and land on the same leg. Is that anything like running? No. Let's move on.Can we get some video? That's actually a lot like running.Stand on your left leg, hop straight up and land on the same leg. Is that anything like running? No. Let's move on.
@Willie Neslon, I believe that.....I can't imagine being sore from cornhole and while I don't run everyday like our hero.... I do run a few days a week.... and usually longer than 3 miles...
When is the FBG cornhole tournament? I want in. I haven't lost in cornhole in at least a year.
I am sore in one specific place (my left hip). Is it really that hard to imagine? If you throw a baseball 150 times as hard as you can will your arm be sore the next day? "...but Willie you work out, why would your arm be sore?" JFC, guys.I can't imagine being sore from cornhole and while I don't run everyday like our hero.... Testy already? Come on Willie ...sack up.Stand on your left leg, hop straight up and land on the same leg. Is that anything like running? No. Let's move on.
Hop on your left leg. Does it look anything like this? Good lord.Testy already? Come on Willie ...sack up.
Not moving your feet but still getting the "hop" in. Taking this to the next level. Obviously landing back in your divot 3 times...good work. Keep up the fight.Got back on the horse today and threw some at a friend's house. About 8 players there, enough for a small cash tournament. I've never lost a singles game so as of late last summer nobody would let me play for money anymore. I wasn't happy about it because I love to play so after some finagling this off-season it was agreed (I may have alluded to this in another thread) that I would play blindfolded with a spotter. Wasn't sure what to expect but I won the tournament even with some early miscommunication. Most important thing I needed to know was exact description of bag positioning near the hole. Wasn't allowed to remove the blindfold while I was throwing, had to keep it on from 1st toss to 4th so basically couldn't move my feet until my turn was over if I wanted to stay lined up. If anything I feel like playing this way is going to make me an even better player. So much of the game is feel and man, I was in a zone out there after awhile. The games were closer than they were last year so hoping I can continue to play in the tournaments. Anyway, fun to get back out there.
When you hop straight up you tend to land in the spot you hopped from. Not moving your feet but still getting the "hop" in. Taking this to the next level. Obviously landing back in your divot 3 times...good work. Keep up the fight.
After reading this I floated the idea of me having to throw from a farther spot and looks like that's what's going to happen this weekend. A little more room in the yard we'll be playing in this weekend. Looks like normal distance +10 feet. A little nervous about how it will affect me when I move back to normal distance but if I don't agree to do it I probably won't play. Thanks for the suggestion. The best time I ever had playing was about 50 feet apart and on 2 different tiers in a backyard about a 10 foot elevation change.
I think the hop will have to be adjusted. After reading this I floated the idea of me having to throw from a farther spot and looks like that's what's going to happen this weekend. We'll see. Arm speed will increase, the question is how much accuracy will I lose.I think the hop will have to be adjusted.
