Winston Smith

Portis = hurt, WAS traded for Duckett who may steal all the TD

Jackson = already has a heel problem

S. Smith = "might" be ready for Week One

LJ = the issues have been discussed ad nauseum

I'm drafting Rudi Johnson #1 :football:

oh, and of course, :ptts:

This is the unfortunate part of being well informed before your draft. There is a always a very compelling reason not to draft any player. The more you know, the less enthused you become about everyone.Last year I was a guppie and excited about a lot of different players. This year i'm back to doing intense research about the players... and I hate them all now.Every player I pick I'll be like "well.. he's injury prone, already injured, or his offense is going to hell this year"

This is my 6th year of playing fantasy football in a serious way. I can't recall liking fewer players in the 1st round. At this stage, I would be happy to draft:LTSATikiRudiAnd that's about it. Everyone else gives me a sick feeling in my stomach. My draft is this Saturday. I need a drink. :banned:

i'm in my 10th year of ffl...the first 5-6 seasons i reserached hard... then i got disappointed when i started disliking nearly all the players.then i started donking it up and actually enjoyed the game more... this year i'm back to taking it seriously... and i hate all the players again...Too much info?

If you understand and can quantify the negatives of each player then you are already ahead of the game.

True, but that doesn't make me feel any better about likely having to hold my nose and draft Cadillac, Ronnie, Edge, etc, etc. Hopefully the FF gods will smile on me on draft day and I will draw a top 4 pick :)

20 year redrafter- I tend to stick to drafting players I like, making some of the top five unattractive- I like LT, but don't care for SA, Tike, etc. Moving down to 12 if I am not top 3 is an interest as I may let others gamble- look to take Rudi/McGahee/Dunn/Bush at the turn.

please use this word in another sentence.
My assistant was donking it up this morning when she mixed my filling material wrong, and unfortunately for the patient, I had to do it over. The next time she mixes it wrong, I'm going to utter an audible "hee-haw" to let her know she's being a donk.

 Wouldn't this be more accurate if she mixed your filling material wrong but had improbably luck and it ended up actually being perfectly fine?

While I think you're being a bit knee-jerk, I don't disagree with the premise of this thread. 50% of fantasy first-rounders bust. It's a simple fact of life. The conversion rate for very high picks (top 3, especially) is historically *MUCH* higher (and therefore if you have a top-3 pick, keep it), but outside of that, you're more likely to draft a bust than a stud. Why not trade out of the first and stockpile darts to throw at the board in later rounds?
