I  Patrick Willis (1 Viewer)

So while part of this post is to brag about owning Willis in my dynasty league  , I also wanted to simply discuss his future.

Right now, he is the top guy in total tackles per game (10.5) and solos per game (7.6). The only guys ahead of him in totals haven't had their bye weeks yet, while Willis has already had his.

Now I know this is just great news for all of the tackle heavy leagues (like mine), but the question then is, what about some big plays?

Right now, he only has one forced fumble and has 2 passes defensed. But according to Rotoworld, "Willis now has at least twelve tackles in his last three games, and while the big plays have been few for him so far, they'll come. The Niners used him to blitz a number of times against the Giants Sunday."

So my question is, is this level of performance what we can expect going forward this year and into the future? Will he really start to get some big plays eventually, or is he just a tackler? (maybe some Ole Miss insight could be helpful as well, here). And finally, where are you placing him in ranks with the other top LB's in the league (i.e. top 10, top 5, etc.)?

He will be #2 in my next set of dynasty rankings, behind Ryans. The guy is a beast of a football player. I can't even imagine his numbers if he was a 4-3 MLB.

I also traded him in my main redraft league.

Not that the trade wasnt very good for my team, it was stellar, but I miss not having this stud and watching him emerge. A li'l bittersweet.

in my redraft kept drafting offensive depth while everyone was taking the zach thomases

grabbed willis much later

last year same strategy with demaco ryans

all thanks go to the idp gurus of this forum

Another reason why P Willis makes so many tackles is because they are on the field so much, and will continue to be with their team sucking as much #### as the do.

Great game from him yesterday. Notches his first sack too. So...I guess he fractured his hand according to TSN?? Can any homers confirm?? Thanks.

I was just coming in to post this:
Code:
(Rotoworld) 49ers ILB Patrick Willis broke his hand in Week 9, but didn't miss one play. Impact: Willis actually lead the team in tackles and notched a sack. The fracture is "small," and Willis will wear a cast going forward. His performance shouldn't be significantly altered.
