If Winslow is out Monday, what does that do for Edwards? (1 Viewer)

If Winslow is a scratch Monday night, what does that do for Edwards? Make him even more unstartable? Gives him 30 targets for the game? Any ideas?

Dunno. I've had Stallworth on my bench for 5 games. Now in his his first game back it also looks like Winslow won't play. Should I start Stallworth? Probably. But I don't trust Cleveland to do anything on offense. Starting Engram and Stokely over Stallworth. Just my simple and un-linkable opinion, but Edwards appears to be a similar boat (or is that life-raft?) as Stallworth.

Winslow being out might help Edwards slightly because Anderson will have the TE staying in instead of splitting out, but it mostly comes down to Anderson. Edwards should be back to normal physically with the bye week meaning he'll start to get that separation again and running more crisp routes. If they have a healthy Stallworth, a healthy Winslow, and a healthy Edwards all playing Anderson should automatically be better and that means better numbers all around. Still if Anderson can't get them the ball then it doesn't matter and even though Edwards was probably a little out of shape the first few weeks and their timing was off, Anderson has just been bad. Hopefully they get it together by mid season and get back to the same statistical neighborhood they were in last year. If anyone can help its Edwards, he's one of the most talented receivers in the league.

I would imagine that the Giants now can focus almost all their attention on him in the passing game.

Let Stallworth or Steptoe (ha) beat them.

Adam Schefter reported this morning on NFL Network that Winslow will be inactive on Monday night.

I picked up Heiden this morning and will be starting him. I don't expect big yardage out of him but he could be used around the goaline. I've always thought Heiden is a pretty decent TE.

I own BE, but this is the right answer. His only chance will be that if some DA gets passes to Heiden, Stallworth, etc early and then they have to loosen up on BE somewhat. He should get doubled all night though.

Yep Heiden will take Winslow's role and Dinkens will be used as a blocking TE. Heiden was actually a pretty good TE before we ever got Winslow. I've been surprised that they haven't used him more in the offense at this point.
