If you could tell 22 year old you one thing, what would it be? (1 Viewer)

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
Mine would be a toss up of either:

1) Start putting some money away and don't touch it until you're in your 30's

-or-

2) Quit jerking off so much.

#1 is almost universal advice. I'd guess about 99% of people don't start saving enough soon enough.

For me, it would be "she's going to come around to you eventually. Don't sit like a lump on the log waiting for her and go sow your wild oats first."

Get yourself on a good career path and put in the time when you are young and have energy to move up the ladder or start your own business.

It is tough to save a lot of money when you don't make a lot of money, but it is easy not to squander a lot of money hanging out with your buddies at the casino or in bars, or on expensive hobbies or toys, or on more house or car than you can afford..

Don't get into a relationship because you might be at a time in your life when you feel alone, and by God, don't marry the friggin girl.

there will be a day in the distant future when you are tempted to smell the exercise bike seat after a hot Asian girl used it. DO NOT do it, you are being watched by a bunch of sexually frustrated people.

Don't waste time posting on the internet boards with a bunch of strangers

Oh and save :moneybag:

There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here, because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try to talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long gone, and this old man is all that's left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It's just a bull#### word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a ####.

Invest everything in AAPL & GOOG, sell in the summer of 2007, buy back in March of 2009.

ETA: Take all proceeds, get maximum margin and invest all proceeds in TSLA IPO.

GB Red.

I would and do tell him that I love him, respect him, and will support him always. I suggest he save 5% of his income while he is in the Army and to be safe.

Pretty sure 22 year old me wouldn't listen to current me anyway. Nevermind that the stakes I was playing poker at were way outside my bankroll, I was special and better than everyone else. Just a matter of time before I would win big.

I was probably more like Em than I care to admit at that age. :bag:

Aside from the obvious stock tips and gambling gimmes or assuming that we cannot relay that info, I would tell him to go to medical school. Looking back at it, I got a couple bits of advice on future careers and I wish I had taken one teacher's advice instead of others. I just think I would have enjoyed that career far more than my current one. Don't get me wrong, I still do very well, but it is what it is.

22 is just about when #### started to click for me... It took me another 2-3 years to put it all together, but it was around this age I started to get it together. In all reality, if you don't have things together by 25ish, you fall wayyyyyy behind in life.

When I was in my 20s and started making a good living I pissed way too much money away on cars. Way too much! My wife and I were both getting brand new loaded car and SUVs every other year. Then I bought a Corvette convertible as a 3rd car. A month later my wife got pregnant and we hardly ever drove it once my first daughter was born. Lost my ### on that.

If I could give any advice to a 20 something do not piss money away on cars...nobody cares.

Now I just look for the best vehicle I can for the least amount of money.

An old bull and young bull were standing on a hill. The young bull looks down at a field of cows and says "hey let's run down there and #### one of them cows!" and the older bull says, "no son, lets walk down and #### them all!"

Your girlfriend is going to come over your place one night on the way to a girls night and have her cute friend with her. Don't be like me and realize like a year later what she was trying to say in the moment - just start making out and enjoy a phenominal night.

Oh yeah, and save money or something.... eat right too.

She's leaving you at the end of the semester. Do the threesome.

Or

There's road construction ahead, slow down.

Or

Live abroad for a few years.

Stop spending so much money on car stereo upgrades.
:lmao: +1
I did this. Got a used Mazda 626 before my senior year in HS. Worked the summer and made about a grand or so. Spent approximately 700-800 of it on a head unit, a subwoofer system that took up almost half the trunk, and an amp to go along with it. Still remember it, Sony Xplode equipment. I remember telling my dad after the purchase was a done deal and installed.

:bag:

ETA: Totaled the car about 6 months later after hydroplaining in the rain, and only recovered the subwoofers.

Shoplifting is for morons.

Cigarettes are awful, don't smoke.

You can drink and eat anything without any consequences for another couple of years, do it!!

Chrome rims are a bad investment.

Drinking and driving is very stupid and dangerous.

Not every girl screams at the top of her lungs while being banged, then swallows every drop of man juice your body produces, says yummy and thanks you afterwards... you need video to remember this stuff!

Start your 401k very early.

Enjoy sleeping until 2pm on weekends.

Fat girls don't really give better head :bag:
