Maybe I need to work myself up to hate her. Just thought it would be easier to think positive.
What you need to do is work yourself up to forget about her. Read a book. Hit they gym. Play some hoops. Play some video games. Learn to cook/dance (which would be additional plusses for you with the ladies). Learn to code. Learn a musical instrument, painting, drawing, photography, martial arts, sailing, scuba diving, etc. Anything that will occupy your down time that will capture your attention. Don't waste energy thinking about her, spend it on other stuff. You've got an opportunity to be interesting here, don't waste it fixating on your ex.
Thanks. Signed up for Crossfit and started yesterday so that should take up my time on weeknights.
Always wanted to learn guitar so I'll probably start that up to kill the rest of my idle time and starting looking for a more permanent job.
What's funny is the stuff that I enjoyed doing to kill idle time before:
running Franchise basketball drafts, arguing about the NBA, and playing video games are stuff that I stopped doing since we broke up. They were time killers I enjoyed before, but now they just seem so empty without her to bugging me about them.
I get your point though. I need to start DOING instead of just THINKING. Self-improvement over self-pity.
