Today…40-50 I guess.
I don’t really care to kill a deer anymore. I killed my share in my lifetime.
I could’ve killed 2 nice bucks in rifle season. I’m out to relax and enjoy being out here. If I see any deer it’s gravy

this is exactly how i am when i hunt now i just like to be near my family that is left and spend the time in the woods good for you and i wish you luck take that to the bank brohan

I no longer hunt but all my friends back in Michigan say this. Best thing about being out is getting to hang with old friends, their adult kids, grandkids, et al.

Probably moving back to the mitten at some point and I'll take up bow hunting again.

Don’t get me wrong, I will kill a big buck if I see one. Or a coyote

my thing is that i shot a lot of stuff when i was in my teens through late thirties it was like a thing and then one year i was in the woods had a little fork buck walk past me and i thought jeez im gonna kill this thing do i really enjoy the killing or do i enjoy the being out here and i decided it was the later so now i spend my outdoor time fly fishing because you can catch and release with a rod and get the whole thrill of the hunt deal but you dont kill anything and there aint no catch a release with a 30 06 if you know what i mean take that to the bank brochacho

I've never fly fished but I loved that movie A River Runs Through It. Read a lengthy article about Ted Williams that went deep into it. Reminds me a lot of bow hunting, there is a connection between you and the implement, there's a genuine skill....different mindset than long rifle hunting. I did my fair share of the latter, enjoyed it, but a compound bow is a much bigger challenge.

I know catch n release has been in vogue for many decades but I kinda like eating what I catch (or kill.)

Except for the occasional donation from a nephew back home, rarely have venison. There's a pretty cool hole in the wall in Brooklyn Heights called Henry's End that has a seasonal game menu, that's the only place I've found it in NYC (even then it's hit or miss if they are featuring it month to month.)

My bad. You’re allowed to feed them. I put out mineral blocks. Almost everyone around here that has any ground has good plots

The state game commission is discouraging people from putting out corn feeders, apple piles etc because they say that’s how chronic wasting disease is being spread
