I didn't see anything crazy today. However, I did walk around my office eating Cheetos.....by using chopsticks. So there's that.
ah. feel like they're all over the place- so I wondered if it was something specific.Thats the craziest thing I saw today.... some dude cruising on one

Great idea - unless people enjoy getting cheeto dust all over everything they touch.I didn't see anything crazy today. However, I did walk around my office eating Cheetos.....by using chopsticks. So there's that.
NOPE - life of suburbia!@#!#you're not in the city? for work at least? my notebook is screwy.
tons of motorized wheeled things the last year or two- scooters, mostly skateboards, couple different versions of those single wheel things. but yeah- the first time seeing them is pretty nutty.... I did a triple take, like- wuh- wait... wtf? really?
The Cheetos were in a bag, so it really wasn't any more dust than how people normally eat them.Great idea - unless people enjoy getting cheeto dust all over everything they touch.
Update: the stuffed animal has been abandoned in front of a chain link fence. It was a dog.Saw a homeless guy with a giant top-shelf carnival prize animal. It was a black and white dog or a panda or something. The stuffed animal was sitting in a folding chair and the guy was on the sidewalk.
Well at least now the homeless guy gets to sit in the folding chair.Update: the stuffed animal has been abandoned in front of a chain link fence. It was a dog.
How the hell do you get on and off that thing?speaking of bikes... I had hoped to find pictures of the guy in my hood who rode something similar to this... but couldn't.
Ladder. Also needed when getting off of it. They actually aren't as hard as you'd think they are (same thing with the Penny Farthing). How the hell do you get on and off that thing?
Live on the 2nd floor and park next to window. How the hell do you get on and off that thing?
That was just SWC taking his excess chicken grease to the bank.Looked out my office window a few minutes ago and on the sidewalk was a guy dressed in a full chicken suit getting into an Uber/Lyft vehicle
MangeLast night driving home from work at night I saw a pale humanoid looking creature run in front of my car. I was doing about 55 and the creature came from my right and ran in front of my car and into the desert on my left. It looked hairless and very pale. On all fours I would say it was taller then the hood of my car. It appeared fairly large. I about #### myself as I thought for sure I was going to hit it. Knock on wood I have yet to hit an animal on this road but I have had several close calls. Lots of javelina, coyote, skunk, jackalopes, bobcats etc...
I think what I saw was a coyote with that skin disease that makes them lose their hair. The size of it and the speed is what confuses me.
I guess it could have been an alien.
gotta take it somewhere take that to the bank brohoardoThat was just SWC taking his excess chicken grease to the bank.Looked out my office window a few minutes ago and on the sidewalk was a guy dressed in a full chicken suit getting into an Uber/Lyft vehicle
An odd raven or blackbird?Hm, last night I was walking my dogs (as always every night) and we happened upon - really almost walked right over - this huge, y’all, bird standing on the side of the sidewalk. It was the color of the night, some sort of blue purple dark grey, and it spread its wings and flew off soundlessly. It might have disappeared not 10 feet from taking off, not sure. Really amazing, I have no idea what it is.
No, this thing is big, he's got to be a marsh bird. Stands on long legs, has a big wingspan. And he's midnight blue, color of the sky. I'll look into it and see if I can find a pic, still not sure how to search for it though. An odd raven or blackbird?
I have no clue about birds in your area. Are there black water/sea birds?
This is cool.
Blue Heron maybe - google images - ?No, this thing is big, he's got to be a marsh bird. Stands on long legs, has a big wingspan. And he's midnight blue, color of the sky. I'll look into it and see if I can find a pic, still not sure how to search for it though.

Sweet. That is a really nice encounter.Yep, but a Louisiana great blue heron.
Seems too much to ask for but I think that's it. Really incredible.
Saw that couple I mentioned before with their tandem again last night. They had made some pretty significant improvements to it, made me think of this thread so I thought I'd share.Every once in a while I’ll see something and think about sharing here but it’s almost never thread worthy on it’s on. So, in here post the weird/awesome/funny thing you saw today.
I actually had 2 yesterday:
- Driving out of my neighborhood I see a couple on a tandem bike riding back in to the neighborhood. I’m not sure I’ve seen a tandem bike in use in many years but what made it even more unusual was that it wasn’t just a for fun thing - both of them were in serious bike gear and looked to be in training
- Later that day my wife and I went to the park to walk. As we are done and leaving we get to the parking lot and there’s a guy standing at the back of his truck with the tailgate down. He has dumbbell weights in the back of his truck and he’s pulling them out and doing curls and then sits them back in the truck. I was![]()
So, what craziness did you see today?
Did you happen to be in Noblesville, IN?I just saw some jackwad trying to back into a parking space having no idea what he was doing while holding up traffic.
Sorry, but I was not !! LOLDid you happen to be in Noblesville, IN?
