Agree, although I've had them in the past that were great. I think the key is getting as much moisture out of the pickle slices and having a good batter. downside: the molten hot pickle essentially slid right out of the seasoning coating when you bit in to it. so it was just like eating a hot pickle.

Did you have chips or spears. As noted above, spears tend to slide out of the batter. yeah. Chips are also better (IMO) due to a higher batter/pickle ratio.spears
