Good stuff, though Telesco was speaking in the context of Laube’s special-teams potential. Already an ancient 24 years old after a marathon FCS career, Laube can catch passes for days but will likely have to force his way onto the field via the third unit. That might disappoint some overzealous fantasy managers, but nailing down return work would presumably create eventual opportunities on offense. Behind Zamir White and Alexander Mattison, Laube is definitely in the right backfield to do some depth chart climbing.

I watched a YouTube where the guy really dived into his pre-snap reads. Essentially his message was that people were being too hard on him because there is a lot of promising attributes he showed last year.

With what we should have on defense, O'Connell doesn't need to reach Kurt Warner level of HOF great QB for us to win a lot of games. If he did end up being the next Kurt then we instantly become a SB contender and can challenge and defeat the Chefs. That would be so nice to have.

I am just looking for solid improvement and progression from him this year.

Hard pass with that structure, $27M dead money on a void year is no bueno. And overall $34M guaranteed for one 8 sack season is too generous for me. I'd do the 3Y/$51M with rolling guarantees but I don't want to get stuck with 7 sacks over 2 years for $34M.

One player who has been making a case to be a starter this season is second-year cornerback Jakorian Bennett. He’s been lining up with the ones all offseason and today, he showed everyone why.

One a play late in practice, he broke the ice with the first takeaway for the Raiders defense. Aidan O’Connell rolled left and threw it short where Bennett stepped in front of it and hauled it in.

Tuesday marked the first day of mandatory minicamp for the Las Vegas Raiders.
The team moves into their last portion of the offseason program before things heat up in Training Camp next month. It was a competitive day between the offense and the defense with both sides of the ball having moments to capitalize.
Let's recap some high points from the practice.

• The defense brought the fire during team period. Cornerbacks Brandon Facyson and Jakorian Bennett took turns making plays on the outside, including an interception by Bennett.
• The defensive MVP for the day was Christian Wilkins. The sixth-year lineman got off the line of scrimmage at full speed every play, seemingly finding his way in the backfield constantly. "Christian running to the ball, he's a freak of nature," Nate Hobbs said. "He's 300-something pounds, first one to ball. I've never seen no one that size move like that – that flexible, that bendy. • The offense got rolling in the second half of practice. Aidan O'Connellmade a few impressive throws to the likes of Alexander Mattison, Jakobi Meyers and a would-be touchdown pass to Jalen Guyton with two defenders draped over the receiver. It was a great catch by Guyton, but O'Connell put it right where it needed to be. "Aidan has come a long way," Maxx Crosby said. "Just seeing his maturity and seeing how he's starting to talk back. ... Seeing him come back at us is awesome to see."
• While the quarterback competition is headlined by O'Connell and Gardner Minshew II, Anthony Brown Jr. also made a few good throws down the stretch including a touchdown pass to rookie running back Dylan Laube.
• WIth the new kickoff rules being implemented this upcoming season, the Raiders are taking a look at anybody and everybody for returner roles. Tuesday's practice was highlighted by Laube, Nate Hobbs, Jack Jones and DJ Turner.

Even if we get below average performance there, we can have a strong D. Both safety and nickel, nailed down. Getting Deablo back. Adding Wilkins. Moehrig had a quiet really good season. He and Epps are underrated as a duo---by us, even.

10000%. I felt the same way when I watched it. I just thought “the dude is chill, reserved and not outgoing”. Love Adams saying he’s totally focused on football I hope he’s a dominant force for years to come!

Fantasy wise they are still ranked near the bottom , but im ok with that because i want to grab them .

I am not sure about that.... they should have a high level of sacks and an increase in INTs with even more pressure on the QB's and Jack showing us last year that he is a ball hawk. I am only in IDP leagues so it really isn't a concern for me at all.
