2025 Las Vegas Raiders thread - ☠ Mork and Brady - will they find a new way to screw this up or will they stick with what they know? ☠ (24 Viewers)

VERY INTRESTING

strength of schedule also serves as a tiebreaker for teams in the NFL Draft order. The Raiders strength of schedule is .538, whereas the New York Giants’ is .550, so Las Vegas is in pole position with both teams sitting on 2-12 records.Travis Hunter's mom issues five word response to brother's major announcementKirk Cousins makes worrying admission as Falcons coach Raheem Morris aims savage digWith three games remaining, the Giants face the Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, and Philadelphia Eagles while the Raiders will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, and Los Angeles Chargers. If both teams lose out, the Raiders will own the rights to the coveted first overall selection.
Even this team will struggle to lose to both the Jags and Saints. 4-13 seems more realistic.
I don't know... I like that they are fighting but we have 5 starters on defense on IR including our best three defenders and leader of the secondary. On offense, after Meyer and Tucker, can you name a WR that is active? I can't. I had to look it up and I don't know either of their names. Sam Webb and Nate Hobbs have not practiced all week and are questionable. They haven't given up which you want to see but they are severely depleted.
When Chad makes a case for why the raiders will likely lose, it’s time to end the season asap.
Fight. Lose out. Draft one of Sanders or Ward. Give the whole franchise and fan base hope that things will finally be different.

The Jags and Saints are both on their back QBs. The Saints may not have Kamara either etc. They're pretty terrible themselves.

But, looking for a silver lining let's say they go 4-13 and pick top six-ish. Maybe sign Cousins as a stop gap while adding depth? Picking 3-6 might still give them a shot at Hunter? Or the best tackle?

Go all in on Darnold and draft Tetairoa McMillan or Kelvin Banks, or trade down and snag Luther Burden and more picks.

I know it’s just my years of Raiders PTSD talking, but I can only see Darnold or Cousins coming here and totally stinking up the joint. Another wasted year.
I agree for the most part. Especially if the current coaching staff remains in place.

For Darnold I would be very open to him if they got Ben Johnson (yes, I've been beating that drum for over a year now) as HC or even if they kept Pierce and pulled in the Minnesota QB coach as OC. Try to get Hunter or a tackle and make a run at Tee Higgins.

Cousins would just be a one year stop gap so they could stock up some talent for a year and try again at a QB in 2026.

I guess when your team was supposed to be that good and then they suck that bad you have to go find someone else to kick to make yourself feel better. It basically is the full on "Bully Syndrome" where your life sucks so you go around trying to make others lives suck more so you can feel better because you are that broken inside.

Once again we have to kick you back to the 9ers thread. Sad.
Well we all know the people who start the 49er thread each season gives up in that thread when they are out in week like this one already. So try not to use that as a baseline of FBG.

So you admit that you don't have that expectation that your team will even be that good to make the playoffs, like they only had in two decades.

It's not about whatever team I chose to root for, It's more about why you still chose to root for team than still brings nothing to you to root for.

Edit: I hate Jed York, the guy in my avatar, the owner of the 49ers. But I think he deserves a new stadium more in Las Vegas than Mark Davis or Al Davis had to does. Why? Just look at the past ten seasons.

No one is a "troll" here lol, I have been posting here since almost this site existed.

In this thread, you are a troll. If you really don't recognize that, as you represent here, then you really aren't very smart. And I say this as a Chargers fan, not a Raiders fan.

You add nothing to the thread but negativity. You really should spend your posting time elsewhere.

Raiders have nothing to play for other than COACH PRIME to save you. The Raiders are the worst team in the NFL, they don't have a coach or a QB, the owner is poorer than Woody Johnson and even more dumber than he is, Darth Raider doesn't even rate at Comic-Con and get''s cops called on him because he's a 65 year old creep, and Raider QB's in Minshew and AOC have made mustaches out of vogue because they are being sported by Raider QB's who are the worst QB's the in the NFL.

Mark Davis needs to sell the team. The old "Davis Raiders" era has been done, it's a running joke now. They are like near dead last in every stat. With only one or two outliers.

How can any football fan who spends 1 or 2 percent of their personal income on silver paint and season tickets and have to travel to watch them still believe that after 30 years of washed old Raider football that never wins, you're only one player away? Raider fans are the ultimate example of "Al Davis sunk cost fallacy" . I mean all it took for Raider fans to be sold on Gardner Minshew was a few photos of he in Silver and Black with his goofy face and beard and youse were like "HEY RICO, HE'S A TRUE RAIDER" before the season started.

And you were right. HE WAS A TRUE RAIDER.

Because he sucks.
No hair cut reference? You’re slipping.

Yeah. Cuz you can just UN-choose the team you follow when you’ve been rooting for them your whole life.

Did you stop rooting for the 9ers when they were doing horribly?

Raiders looking like a real NFL team on that last drive . AOC made some great throws and that scramble /throw was wild

Darnold. But they need to clean house and bring in a real offensive minded HC. Otherwise it will be a repeat of his time with the Jets & Carolina.

Great win. What retread QB do we target now that they aren’t going to be able to draft one?
Just means it'll cost more to draft one. NEP and JAX will be sitting 2/3 so it'll just cost us more picks to get to one of them.
Great news if we were just a QB away from being a playoff team. Need all the picks to build up the roster.
The Commanders looked to be a lot more than a QB away at this time last year. Literally the worst defense in the league, aging offensive line, at most two skill position players of note ...

IMO it demonstrates the importance of the coaching staff. I honestly believe if Daniels went #1 to Chicago and Caleb #2 to Washington we would be exactly where we are right now. Washington surging and Chicago looking for another coach.

The most important decision of this off-season has nothing to do with who is drafted, it's all about who is coaching that draft pick.

We can finish no worse than #8 pick.

TEN plays JAX so at least one of them will add a win, so we're effectively at #5 currently. JAX and NYG both play IND which nearly lost to TEN so there's an outside chance of them getting a win before the end of the year too. Could we see all three teams end up behind us? NEP and CLE aren't losing so #3 is the best case scenario.

The NOS matchup looms large, they are more horrible than we are at this point if the current QB situation holds.

This. Unless Wes Phillips comes with Darnold I'd stay away. Cousins appears to be cooked. Evidence this year suggests if you're a 35+ QB you don't come back from an Achilles tear.

Phillips is interesting. He's already got an OC title, but we all know who's got the magic in MIN. This would give him a chance to run his own offense and call his own plays. I'd be down for a McVay/O'Connell disciple coming in.

And not that anyone cares, but it’s TWO Raiders fans in the Inaugural “SharkPool Home League Uno” FINALS!
Me vs. @DA RAIDERS

Represent!
Would like to see your line ups to see how many Raider players are on there
:lmao: I begrudgingly took Adams. But he’s no longer on the raiders. So I now have zero. I did spot smart Abdullah when he had a good game and picked up sincere, but I don’t think I ever started him. Current raiders. 0

lol. If you wanna win in fantasy, then you don’t want Raiders players on your squad (Bowers is the recent exception)

Large starting lineups: QRRWWTFFFD (no K)

My lineup:
QB: Mayfield (drafted Dak as well)
RB: Taylor, B Robinson Jr, (drafted and road Dobbins for a while), Etienne (thank goodness I took Dobbins late), some other shlubs
WR: drafted and road Godwin for a bit, Devonte Smith, DJ Moore, Brian Thomas Jr, Addison,
TE: Kittle, Kraft, Jonnu Smith
D: flavor of the month

I miss Josh Jacobs. So nice to see him on a really good team kicking butt. He’s an all around weapon and looks great with the Packers. I’m t rooting for him big time.

Goff, arod(started once) picked up started cousins for his huge game.
B hall, K Williams, j cook buncha other losers
Sutton, Adams, flowers a medley of mid tier dudes here and there. Managed to hit nkine when he was hot
Pitts and whatever schlubs I could find because pitts is awful
Bills, sf

What is going to be the reaction from the fans when:
— the Raiders win out to save AP’s job
— they bring back AOC and try to patchwork the QB position next year

meh.... he has talked a lot of crap since leaving. Once a Raider, always a Raider but he is very far down the list of alumni for me.
