Got all 8, woohoo! 6 was pretty easy, especially if you get 5 since they are in the same series.

1 and 7 are the only ones neither of you got. My hints for 1 are above and might be tough if you don’t remember the lead being in a wheelchair. This may be obvious or completely not helpful but it’s also coming around the date corner.

7 was just a guess based on the setting and apparent age of the film. It won an Oscar.

3 is obviously one of 2 films (you have to spell out the name to get it right).

8 had a star-studded cast and came out in 1985.

#1: This is almost exactly how Jax went out in sons of Anarchy, ‘ceot this guy doesn’t die, then makes a whole other movie where he wears a different uniform and rides around on horses suicidally, then grows gills.

Never saw this movie, and at this point probably never will. but the gills clue was enough to get me there.

Got all 8 with no hints. Helps that 2 just came out even though I hadn’t seen them. Most were just movies I liked. I guessed 1 right away but honestly could have been 1 of a dozen or so. It just looked like his body type. 6 I had to guess but I felt like I knew that hat. Fun to get them all, not easy without a hint from someone else.

I knew it wasn’t Megan but I had to guess that regardless! I got the movie as soon as you mentioned her. I’ve seen it before but never even thought of it. It wasn’t a good movie, not worth remembering.
