Is anyone else worried about taking AZ. Cards WR's (1 Viewer)

I am in a spot where I will more than likely be picking between FITZ and Holt. I love Fitz this year but is anyone else worried about the injury risk of Warner and the fact that they havent signed their first round pick? I know that Fitz had McNown throwing to him last year but if Warner goes down Fitz will be catching passes from John Navarre :(

Do you still think I should go with Fitz over Holt?

Leinart is signed!

Well, you can't predict injuries and since Bulger is not an ironman himself, that is probably a wash. I do like Gus as the better backup, but at that point, is anyone really happy?

If I had Fitz higher than Holt by a decent margin, I certainly wouldn't let Warner's injury history keep me away from him.

No way.... where do you get this "still" from?

Holt is the clear choice...

I'm in this exact scenario and am can't make up my mind which one to keep. I think they're probably on par w/ one another and each have their own question marks. I don't think the loss of Martz will hurt Holt as much as many believe, heck it might even help him! Linehan will certainly run more often than Martz ever thought about which while that may take away from the overall number of pass attempts, I think Holt will still get a nearly equal number of targets. Just look at Chambers' numbers from last year to see what I mean, the #1 WR still "gets his" in this offense.

Given that, I think there is probably fewer questions around Holt than w/ Fitz.

By “still” I mean that I like Fitz and in my rankings I have him slightly ahead of Holt because I think he will be a big target in the red zone due to the Cardinals inability to run block.

I'd take Boldin over Fitz. Boldin runs after the catch with more power and determination than any other WR in the game. Plus, he'll feed off the fact that defenses will be concerned with Fitz as the #1. They're both great, but I've watched Boldin pretty closely for a couple years and the guy just plays with so much fire and determination that I want him on my team. Not to mention the numbers are right there with Fitz anyway.Fitz will get the longballs, but Boldin will get more looks and catches, and he'll turn many of them into big gains & TDs.

I would not worry about drafting either of them but I would take Holt before both of them... maybe one of the only top WR's without any question marks.

TO- usual nonsense

Randy - Brooks? Who knows with him?

Fitz/Boldin - Edge will cut into their targets - both won't be as good

Harrison - good but getting old

CJ - Palmer's health

Holt is your safest bet. new coach but sam QB, improved RG and weak division

Leinart is signed now. If/when Warner gets hurt, Leinart will know who to throw to. No worries.
sure, he will pick up the offense just like that; yes Navarre stinks, but no way Leinart jumps up to #2 anytime soon . . .
:goodposting: agreed - I know we're not suppose to belittle people in the shark pool but I'm sure a lot of us would have "called you out" if you made such a ridiculous comment in a sports bar setting.

I'm not saying that HE would be a good fantasy player, but he wouldn't hurt his WRs stats much if any. Leinart is further along as a QB already, than McCown was last year. He's the most NFL ready QB in years.

Not to mention, Denny Green's offenses are not of the more complex variety. Peyton came in as a rookie and chucked it all over the place and while he threw a lot of picks he still threw for a lot of yards and tds. That's what Leinart would have to do, and he could if asked to this year.

Bulger starts the past three seasons;37Warner starts the past three seasons;22... and who has the better OL?
Your comparison means nothing. Take the last 2 years when Warner left STL. Warner 19, Bulger 22.Warner split time with Eli in NYG.
No, actually Warner had the starting job in both those instances and simply lost it due to injury. Yes, Warner lost his job to a rookie QB in Eli. Ever hear of Matt Leinart?BTW who do you think has the better OL between STL and ARZ?

Warner certainly won't be splitting time with Leinart.
