(ie anytime a thread on whether you are done or not reaches 501 posts... you probably are)Hippling completeFor all intents and purposes he missed week 1. He missed week 2. He will miss week 3. And I'm 'guessing' he misses week 4 and comes back fresh after their week 5 bye. So to re-state - Just for the sake of relevance, where do you think he'll finish after he misses the first 4 games?why would I think that he would miss 4 games is his sprained ankle degenerative?Just for the sake of relevance, where do you think he'll finish after he misses the first 4 games? Just askin.LT is a STUD......he will end the season in the top 10 even if he misses two games form the ankle......mark it down

another. This makes it seem he's not in a rush back.LT missed practice again today... ( LINK ) sorry, fixed link.Any word on whether he practiced today? Can we focus on that for a min?
unning back LaDainian Tomlinson did not practice yesterday and is in danger of missing his second straight game.
Tomlinson hopes to play Sunday against Miami but said yesterday that he does not need to rush back due to the Chargers having Darren Sproles and Michael Bennett behind him.
“I can get healthy,” said Tomlinson, who last season played through a severe toe injury. “I don't have to just get to a certain percentage and then stay at that percentage all season.
from same articleWell, with Hardwick being out at least 8 weeks, I don't know this o-line will improve any time soon.
Five days after the cornerstone of the Chargers defense was wiped out for the season, center Nick Hardwick underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left ankle yesterday in Indianapolis and is expected to miss eight weeks and possibly longer. The Chargers did not place Hardwick on injured reserve, though that could happen as the season progresses. While they expect Hardwick back and want to have him available for a possible postseason run, they might not be able to preserve his roster spot should the injuries keep piling up.
one moreRight guard Louis Vasquez also missed another practice yesterday, and it appears his sprained knee could force him out a second Sunday as well.In all, nine players, including Hardwick, missed practice due to injury or illness.Starting offensive linemen Kris Dielman and Marcus McNeill and starting free safety Eric Weddle were out sick. Turner said he hoped to have all three back in practice today.Outside linebacker Shawne Merriman, another starter, did not work due to a strained groin that sidelined him the final five minutes Sunday against Baltimore. He is expected to play against Miami.
That's the kind of great analysis I expect from the SP (...heads back to FFA...).*ding*That's the timer going off for L.T.s career. He's done!!!!!!Thanks for the effort L.T. Too bad you never got a ring you definitely deserve one for your play.
cstu, wait...Sorry man, I completely agree with you but couldn't resist.cstu said:That's the kind of great analysis I expect from the SP (...heads back to FFA...).spacevan said:*ding*That's the timer going off for L.T.s career. Well, in this case, it looks like bad karma from your choice of user name.I feel like I wasted my first round pick. If he comes back for week 6, I may be 0-5 and not even adjusting my lineup anymore.Yes, I suck at fantasy football and my entire season depends on how my 1st pick produces.
It amazes me guys who consider themselves "sharks" can write off a dude like LT. Yes, he probably sits out til wk 6, so you deal with that or trade him LOW.Or, you stash and wait for the possible very timely bump at a key point in your season. Guaranteed, if he comes back and lays down 20+ out the gate the value skyrockets.Fish, or cut bait. from a wk 3 vantage pt, you can always recover, just be vigilant for the next LT.Well, in this case, it looks like bad karma from your choice of user name.I feel like I wasted my first round pick. Let me re-phrase, cause i think I came off harsh. I understand the angst, but to tie your whole season to one guy, 1st rd or not, is a mistake. You CAN recover from anything, because bad luck is not restricted to you only. GET BUSY!!!It amazes me guys who consider themselves "sharks" can write off a dude like LT. Not germane to the discussion, but it never happened to the two bolded running backs. Studs from the beginning to the end.Yes.
He was obviously a great player, but he is pretty much done.
There's no shame in it. It happens to them all
One day, it will happen to AP, and someone else will pick-up the torch.
Jim Brown to OJ Simpson to Walter Payton to Barry Sanders to Marshall Faulk to LaDainian Tomlinson to Adrian Peterson to..............
No one lasts forever.
edit - I'm not suggesting that AP belongs on this list yet, but he is the current favorite to be the new "torch bearer".
I was wondering when someone was going to point that out.Not germane to the discussion, but it never happened to the two bolded running backs. Studs from the beginning to the end.Yes.

Ding Ding Ding!!! All the Sproles chatter sure has calmed down. The Chargers have really struggled in the red zone the last two weeks. When asked about it in today's post-game press conference, the first thing Norv Turner said was: "It sure will be nice to get #21 back in there."

I don't think I'd be starting him against the Steelers fresh off an ankle injury.i hope he comes back this week. i need him with gore out
So we are at this point: Tomlinson < Ced Benson? I still can not believe that CB pulled a 4.8 average and got a TD against the Steelers. I am pretty sure the world is about to implode.I don't think I'd be starting him against the Steelers fresh off an ankle injury.i hope he comes back this week. i need him with gore out
Steelers D isn't the same without Troy.So we are at this point: Tomlinson < Ced Benson? I still can not believe that CB pulled a 4.8 average and got a TD against the Steelers. But, being that the Chargers are left with an inept set of RB's without LT...............if he's ready to go they'll trot him out there.I don't think I'd be starting him against the Steelers fresh off an ankle injury.i hope he comes back this week. i need him with gore out

Fresh off the injury shouldn't factor into the equation. Players wind up with the same PPG when they're injured as they do when they're not (actually, oddly enough, they wind up with veeeeeeeeeery slightly more when they're injured). Couch Potato did a study on it once, although I don't know what happened to it.If you'd start a healthy Tomlinson, then you should start a gimpy Tomlinson. Fantasy-wise, they should both be expected to produce about the same (provided gimpy Tomlinson actually plays).I don't think I'd be starting him against the Steelers fresh off an ankle injury.i hope he comes back this week. i need him with gore out
:confetti:LT practiced today - appears they're a decent shot he'll go Sunday nite.
According to Rotoworld, it was a full practice, too. I don't know what my thoughts are at this point, good .. bad. I just have sort of forgotten about LT since I've been too busy running around with my hair on fire trying to recover a season without my RB1 haha.LT practiced today - appears they're a decent shot he'll go Sunday nite.
It's the opposite in all of my leagues. I've made trade offers for him in every league in which I don't already have him, including offering DeAngelo Williams for LT straight up, and nobody will bite.No one will even think about trading for him in my league. He's almost worthless. I don't agree but value is based on what you can get for a player and no one is interested.
im using my #1 waiver on him this weekNo one will even think about trading for him in my league. He's almost worthless. I don't agree but value is based on what you can get for a player and no one is interested.
Maurile? Is that you? I know it looks like your avatar, but the Maurile I know has consistently been a man who gigglesIt's the opposite in all of my leagues. s at other folks' displaying faith. This seems like a faith based position if you asked me
Vasquez is on your waiver wire?im using my #1 waiver on him this weekNo one will even think about trading for him in my league. He's almost worthless. I don't agree but value is based on what you can get for a player and no one is interested.
Crazy, this league has over $4000 in winnings. Not exactly noobs. No one is interested. He was drafted at the end of the 2nd round. The very end. No one was interested on draft day either so this isn't an overreaction to the ankle. I find it funny no one has even tried to lowball me. At this point I hope they rest him this week so he's fresh for week 6. Just crazy....this is an active league when it comes to trading as well. Hopefully he shows us something in a couple weeks. If I was offered Deangelo I'd take it at this point. I think. I'd also consider Slaton. It's the opposite in all of my leagues. I for one would rather have LT back. Sproles is gonna share carries with someone (LT or bennett) I for one would rather have the defense soften up, or even get both guys in the same backfield. That could be pretty lethal.Ding Ding Ding!!! All the Sproles chatter sure has calmed down. The Chargers have really struggled in the red zone the last two weeks. It's evidence-based. Tomlinson was one of the more impressive players in training camp this season, looking like the quick, explosive version of himself, not the injury-slowed 2008 version. (Camp practices were closed to the public this year, so I'm basing that on quotes from players, coaches, and reporters; not personal observation.)
In the first game, he looked very good to me. I went back and watched each of his 13 runs several times. I know he averaged only 4.2 yards per carry, which isn't all-world (although it is much better than any of the other Chargers so far), but he got everything that was there. More importantly, he made several cuts he couldn't have made last year.
The evidence I'm aware of leads me to think that Tomlinson will play well as long as he's healthy. (And I think predicting future injuries is a matter of faith.)
See, this is why it pays to have an inside source...that as close as it getst to straight insider information if you asked me.:((And I think predicting future injuries is a matter of faith.)
As a Benson owner I wouldn't trade him for LT. I can't believe I just typed that.So we are at this point: Tomlinson < Ced Benson? I still can not believe that CB pulled a 4.8 average and got a TD against the Steelers. Really? Please tell it's a redraft at least. I think this is homerism. I would jump at that if I owned LT.It's the opposite in all of my leagues. Interesting. I think I could get him on the cheap, might as well try. It's evidence-based.
