I really forgot. FF playoffs ended last week for me. Miami made the playoffs, host the Pats today.

Did anyone else kind of forget we have a slate of NFL games today? I sure did.

I feel like we are missing out on some Bowls.

When is the Rose Bowl taking place? The Granddaddy of them all? Did it take place already?

Im so confused today and I didn't even drink last night.

1st time I tuned int ESPN pregame all year..Berman looks like he is going to explode out of the shirt f you just tap him with a pin.

Schefter looks so greasy

Do you live in Atlanta or obviously a Falcons Fan? I like the coach there.
Atlanta native - been a Falcons fan for 42 years - not a lot to cheer for.  We are happy with Quinn but would have hoped he had the defense playing better since that is more his side of the ball.  They got some young talent on D so it appears to be on the upswing.  I think they have a real shot in the NFC.

Rose Bowl is tomorrow at 5 EST.  Bumped by the NFL to the day that most companies are observing for the holiday, so a lot are off anyway.

While you are correct about the time of the game--you are incorrect about it having anything to do with the NFL. The tournament of roses has had a "never on Sunday" strategy that has been going on for like over 120 years that is applicable to the rose bowl and the rose parade.   I only know this because one of my close friends is a drummer for the USC band and is actually marching in the parade.  It had something to do with the churches that were along the parade route way back in the day. People would hitch their horses outside of the churches--and they were worried that the commotion of having a parade roll by those hitched horses on a Sunday would cause them to freak out and create chaos.

Very cool. I lived in SoCal 2000-2007 and I never got the Rose Bowl thing until I moved there. I grew up Orange Bowl and that game used to really mean something most years. But the Rose Bowl is a class unlike any other. The parade is a big part of it all. I really enjoyed going and seeing the floats with the Mrs.

Awesome post, ty

If no one replied were you going to just keep talking to yourself?

Looks like some in this thread would know:

The Rose Bowl and the Tournament of Roses parade ... all of that basically takes place in a suburban neighborhood, right? I assume the parade goes down a main stretch, but the Rose Bowl itself is smack dab in the middle of houses and backyards, right? And most fans just park their cars in the neighborhood somewhere and walk (far) to the stadium?
